The Clinical Data Services Management (CDSM) Team is focused on building clinical data exchanges with providers in order to improve data accuracy and quality of care as part of UHC's collective clinical programs.  This includes the focus to: Improve the completeness and timeliness of provider data Integration by leveraging industry leading standards for data sharing and technology enablement, delivery of an integrated prospective and retrospective HEDIS processing, and simplification of provider onboarding and data submission.

 

This Director, Clinical Data Acquisition & I/O Reporting role is accountable for the architecture, strategy, implementation, innovation and ongoing transformation of the Data Services Management  team to support the clinical data intake,  transformation and processing, reporting  for UHC Lines of businesses.  We're looking for a strong, results-oriented leader to join our Senior Leadership Team. This proven leader will drive organizational success by developing and implementing innovative solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the CDSM team and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pivotal role in leveraging data warehousing and high performance data technologies to expand the organization's use of data as a strategic enabler of the goals of all of the organization's missions
  • Develops and implements Clinical data analytics and strategies (clinical data warehouse, ETL, BigData and analytical repositories) to support clinical and non-clinical outcomes that impact system strategic goals.
  • Leads/builds/grow a data-driven strategy to implement Clinical Predictive analytics, visualizations, insights and decision support capability that enables the organization to make data-driven decisions.
  • Architect, Develop and implement  value added Clinical Data Warehouse/Marts to create analytics for clinical measures through conceptualization, design, build ,Integrate(ETL) and implementation of new dashboards, scorecards and other system wide Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. 
  • Manage team and implement processes to manage high performance and value added Data delivery Database and BI platforms.
  • Oversee development of data warehouse Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) and reporting/analytical applications.
  • Implement automated processes for rapid deployment and data delivery.
  • Collaborate with source system owners to ensure that data is available for future reporting applications and interface with representatives of clinical, business, research, and information technology groups on requirements and delivery of solutions.
  • Interface with Clinical Operations on infrastructure issues such as software updates and operational performance
  • Communicate with and report to the leadership on issues related to project planning, prioritization, and budget management
  • Contribute as a mentor to the CDSM development teams on issues related to data modeling, data security, and software engineering
  • Develop and automate processes for new client implementations for EDI data ingestion x12, HL7 formats trading partner management.
  • Lead and Architect MDM implementations for unique provider or member IDS.
  • Leverage external developers, cloud computing, Big data, MLAI and other cutting edge  technologies,  tools and methods to best meet stakeholder needs while keeping the total cost of ownership affordable.
  • Provide analytical support to key decision makers and interact with senior leadership at regarding  the alignment of enterprise data capabilities with long-term business goals.
  • Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish multiple goals; manage competing demands on departmental and personal time and resources using project management discipline.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the CDSM Information Management strategy and drive the necessary changes to execute the long-term roadmap
