PGIM is Prudentials global investment management business.  The PGIM Global Partners & Institutional Relations Law team is seeking an attorney to support the PGIM Global Partners business that, through joint ventures and a subsidiary, offers investment products and services to retail and institutional clients in Taiwan, China, India, and Italy.  The attorney will also support PGIMs Institutional Relationship Group and Institutional & Advisory Solutions team, both of which focus on PGIM's largest global investment clients, and PGIM global advertising.  The attorney will support two senior lawyers, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, PGIM Global Partners & Institutional Relations Law.



  • Analyze and assess the impact of laws and regulations in multiple international jurisdictions on local businesses and new products and services
  • Review and draft contracts and amendments (e.g. joint venture agreements and investment management agreements)
  • Research and analyze foreign laws impacting cross-border marketing and sales efforts for investment advisory services and funds
  • Collaborate with business clients as well as risk, compliance and other legal colleagues, including legal staff of joint ventures and a subsidiary
  • Support cross-business unit initiatives
  • Implement corporate initiatives and policies
  • Advise on corporate governance and secretarial matters
  • Review regulatory filings
  • Manage work of law firms in other countries



  • Admitted to practice law (if in a state other than New Jersey, eligible to obtain a limited New Jersey license for in-house counsel)
  • Four or more years of corporate law experience
  • Experience with clients in the investment management industry
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior executives, as well as more junior businesspeople
  • Working knowledge of securities and investment adviser rules and regulations, particularly the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
  • Superior interpersonal, written and oral communications skills, including with non-U.S. lawyers and businesspersons
  • Ability to work independently and organize and manage projects
  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • Strong contract drafting skills
  • Ability to identify, analyze and summarize regulatory, contractual and other legal issues
  • Ability to accommodate frequent meetings across European and Asian time zones is required
  • Fluency or proficiency in Chinese or Italian a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a plus
