Job Description

Teva is searching for a Director, Supply Chain Management to join our team in Irvine, CA!

The Director, Supply Chain Management develops plans to ensure supply of required products in the most effective manner, in order to meet market demand and maintain high service level while taking into consideration inventory, quality, operational capacity and cost. This role leads a team of colleagues with Supply Chain Planner/Buyer roles within the Irvine Plant.

You will:

  • Support the Global S&OP at the site level. Analyze net demand variations and capacity constraints by technology, including quality constraints affecting the service level. Discuss the outcomes with key stakeholders, define recovery plans, and facilitate decision processes. Maintain appropriate vendor relationships to ensure adequate raw material supplies.
  • Integrate market demand, production and quality capabilities and cost to develop, in agreement with Regional/Global SC, the site MPS.  Plan and monitor execution of the site MPS, and ensure an optimal service level
  • Plan the sites raw materials requirements to meet the MPS needs (B.O.M) as well as managing sites inventory level and targets. Communicate the sites needs to Procurement and/or vendors (including TAPI) in a timely manner.
  • Plan, monitor execution, coordinate and communicate to the relevant interfaces the sites launch preparations and sites products changes and material changes based on global priorities. Track and implement artwork changes
  • Ensure sites customers receive delivery on schedule through the commitment process. Manage inter-company orders, handle exceptions, raise flags and drive conflict resolution
  • Work with warehousing and logistics of incoming goods and finished products are handled in the most efficient manner; manage interfaces with Transport and Warehouse units (Warehouse management is under the responsibility of Production).
  • Identify, recruit, develop and retain qualified Supply Chain professionals to provide high-level service to the site. Implement managerial practices to ensure the teams high performance, modeling Teva's values and leadership framework
  • Serve as an influential member of the site leadership team, impacting decision making and taking an active role in promoting cross-site initiatives, team work and collaboration across site functions.
  • Bring global best practices into the site and actively share site perspective, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class professional level of Supply Chain globally

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related required. Supply Chain preferred. MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of Supply Chain Management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment required.
  • 5 years of Leadership experience required.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Computer competency, including MS Office and Advanced Excel experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills, and good Project / Task Management skills required.
  • Thorough understanding of ERP process required. MES, SAP expertise strongly preferred.
  • Supply Chain Management certification (APICS, CPM, CPIM, degree in Supply Chain Management or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships collaborate, and gain consensus and buy-in throughout organization, combined with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • People management experience required, including mentoring and developing others.
  • Experience working with or as part of the Senior Leadership Team required.
  • Advanced problem solving abilities required. Experience resolving challenges required. (Willingness to take on new challenges and projects head-on is an integral part of this role).
  • Experience working with above site / offsite / global team leadership and peers required.
