The Director of Sales\u0026nbsp;Stratgey\u0026nbsp;will focus on defining and implementing the end to end flooring customer life cycle. This is role with responsibility for all aspects of sales\u0026nbsp;operations, including defining the strategic plan, organizational design/alignment, sales\u0026nbsp;analysis, recommendations for improvements in sales effectiveness, competitive intelligence and input into trends, and market changes that can affect the sales and productivity. Collaborating with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Learning, Operations and other cross-functional teams, this position will conduct needs analysis and develop resources to address gaps and opportunities for improvement in the selling processes.\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cbr /\u003E MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003Cbr /\u003E 20%\u003C/strong\u003E Conduct business analysis to identify gaps in current sales strategy. Design and implement new sales strategy for the HDMS organization. After implementation continue to conduct cost analysis and redefine sales strategy based on market trend. Serve as a feedback loop for Flooring (D23) on process improvements.\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E20%\u003C/strong\u003E Proactively engage key stakeholders to understand current processes, contribute cross-functional expertise, and drive process improvements and organizational updates that positively impact the Sales team.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E20%\u003C/strong\u003E Collaborate with Learning team to design and implement sales training. Champion the continued training for all sales associates.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E20%\u003C/strong\u003E Provide coordination and support to sales incentive programs. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003EPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\u003C/strong\u003E \u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMaster\u0026rsquo;s degree in business, marketing or communications with 10 years related experience and/or sales, sales operations, training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E10 years\u0026rsquo; experience in the retail\u0026nbsp; industry in a variety of roles, essentially sales,\u0026nbsp;sales management, project management, at least five of which should have been in sales operations.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExperience in the home improvement industry is a plus.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EHave been highly effective in sales and sales management and have a comprehensive understanding of best practice across the retail industry.\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:\u003C/strong\u003E \u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003EDelivers Results\u003C/strong\u003E.
