There are two main components of this job overseeing a social practice as well as managing a modern marketing digital public relations strategy to help lift brand consideration and ultimately drive business for Prudential. 

Responsibilities

Social
  • Drives social strategy and channel planning for social programs across all channels, with specific expertise in using social to connect touch points throughout the larger brand ecosystem with a focus on DTC.
  • Consults on Paid, Owned and Earned (POE) tactics across campaigns
  • Architects innovative social experiences and strategies that engage consumers and moves them toward consideration
  • Manage social media community management team to monitor conversations, strategies and provide engagement

Digital Public Relations 
  • Leverage innovative storytelling and emerging platforms to identify and engage with known and new audiences.
  • Maintain relationships with Digital Influencers across social platforms to leverage brand messaging and enhance earned reach
  • Identifies story angles illustrating key themes, and then generate coverage in traditional and nontraditional media 
  • Mapping, vetting, contracting and managing influencer relationships with a focus on consumer and lifestyle media 
  • Measure on an ongoing basis the effectiveness of programs to adapt strategy and execution where relevant



Qualifications

  • Proficient using paid tactics to develop communications programming that drives demand creation/earned media for Prudential
  • Experience managing word of mouth or viral marketing initiatives for a legacy brand 
  • 7 years of dedicated DPR or social media experience focused on using media to drive business objectives
  • Experience concepting, delivering and executing campaigns for leading retail, financial or DTC brands with a focus on media channels and content marketing
  • Proven ability to create high level social and PR strategies
  • Deep knowledge of all aspects of the social and PR space: platforms, vendors, measurement
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams
