**ROLE SUMMARY**

The Director, Vaccines Pricing and Contracting Strategy will work across the vaccine portfolio to establish the vaccine pricing and contracting strategy across channels including CDC/VFC, IDNs, Physician Buying Groups (PBGs), GPOs, Payers, Retail and Long-Term Care for the U.S. Vaccines Business Unit. The Director, Vaccines Pricing and Contracting Strategy will collaborate with the brand teams to develop pricing and contracting strategies specific to the brand and assess and monitor the effectiveness of various channel and customer type pricing and contracting strategies across the US vaccine portfolio. The role requires strong business acumen, deep knowledge of drug pricing and contracting, solid understanding of vaccine and/or buy and bill drugs, strong team collaboration and leadership skills.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Function as the subject matter authority on vaccine pricing and contracting on behalf of the U.S. Vaccines Business Unit; share pricing and contracting knowledge and insights across teams

+ Develop overall public and private pricing and contracting strategy across products, channels and customers to drive the growth of the vaccines business

+ Partner with Global Commercial Development to provide U.S. pricing & contracting insights and develop pricing and contracting strategies for late-stage assets

+ Lead the strategy and manage the cross functional contract process for the annual CDC Vaccines for Children and Vaccines for Adults solicitations

+ Lead the strategy and manage the cross functional process for price changes to include partnership with brand access marketing for field and customer communications

+ Lead the alignment processes related to the development of pricing and contracting strategies with cross-functional stakeholders as well as securing endorsement with senior leadership

+ Collaborate with the vaccine brand teams and access marketers to align pricing and contracting strategy to the overall brand strategy and contracting pull-through initiatives

+ Collaborate with the Payer Channel Access (PCA) Vaccine Contracting Lead to develop and refine vaccines-specific pricing and contracting strategies and processes

+ Collaborate with field teams to implement the pricing and contracting strategy; solicit and act on feedback to optimize pricing and contracting strategy

+ Monitor and seek to continuously improve the operational effectiveness of the overall vaccine contracting process in close collaboration with PCA.

+ Serve as the vaccine BU lead and point for pricing and contracting issue resolution across Vaccines, PCA, Legal, Trade and BT



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ BS/BA Degree Required; MBA Preferred

+ 8 or more years of pharmaceutical pricing and contracting experience

+ Experience in leading vaccine specific pricing and contracting functions to include working with Group Purchasing Organizations, Physician Buying Groups, Retail Chains, Integrated Delivery Networks

+ Demonstrated track record of strong business acumen, strategic thinking and project management skills

+ Proven track record of success with working effectively in a team-based environment, balancing diverse cross -functional perspectives, strong problem solving, leadership, and collaboration skills

+ High level change agility, flexibility and comfort with addressing and adapting to ambiguity

+ Excellent commercial, financial and analytical skills

+ Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



+ Experience with a buy and bill drug or vaccines pricing and contracting role preferred



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



+ Up to 20% domestic travel



**ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS**

The role routinely collaborates with Brand Teams, Vaccines Accounts and Sales Teams, Vaccines Global Commercial Development as well as cross functional stakeholders including Legal, BT, Trade, Market Research and Payer Channel Access Teams.
