    Sodexo's Healthcare Segment is searching for a District Manager to lead and grow our Environmental Services business for a large hospital system in Albany, NY.  This position will require travel to accounts in the system. 


    This District Manager will provide strategic leadership for Environmental Services operations within 5 primary hospitals as well as several outpatient facilities. As the District Manager, you will build professional business relationships with multiple clients through direct communications. You will be responsible for all matters pertaining to account operations while ensuring financial goals are met. In addition, the District Manager will oversee compliance to all company/client policies and procedures, and government regulations and monitor unit operation to ensure the highest quality of products and services. 


    Key Responsibilities


    • Executes strategic plan by implementing short and long-term goals that align with the scope of service, mission and values.
    • Develops a business plan and budget with each account General Manager that supports the goals of the district, region, and division.
    • Reviews and analyzes financial statements and data, operating reports, budget variance reports, and other appropriate financial information to monitor attainment of financial goals.
    • Provides positive and constructive feedback to employees by coaching, mentoring, counseling or corrective guidance and action, as appropriate.
    • Reviews and maintains reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and Sodexo/Client policies and procedures.
    • Monitors operations by visiting the unit to plan projects, implement new processes and technology, and to ensure sufficient unit resources

    Our ideal candidate will be an innovative and highly effective strategic-minded leader with excellent organizational skills and financial acumen.  Candidates must have a strong knowledge of healthcare Environmental Services. Patient Transport experience is a plus. 


    Position Summary

    Serves as the primary representative of Sodexo for multiple accounts in a designated geographic area. Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned geographic area through subordinate managers, supervisors and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development. Works with each client and the Vice President in all matters relating to contract and account operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account retention. Develops a business plan and budget for the accounts with the General Manager's.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 5 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
