This position will be responsible for leading the relationship between eCommerce PepsiCo and new or existing contract manufacturing partners. Type of management will include identification of contract manufacturers, negotiation of pricing and contracts, project management, coordination of cost management work, improvement of key performance indicators (ex: cost, quality and service) and ongoing issue resolution. The successful candidate will work with internal cross functional teams and external partners to develop cost effective contract manufacturing solutions for PepsiCo products.

The Co-Manufacturer Industry Specialist is responsible for the relationship and day to day operations between PepsiCo and Contract Manufacturers. They will lead cross functional teams and initiatives to achieve optimal manufacturing costs across several platforms.

  • Serve as the primary leader supporting the day to day contract manufacturer/PepsiCo relationship and potentially the brand
  • Create value to PepsiCo through a strategic view of cost management, integrated planning and resource optimization
  • This position will be the voice of PepsiCo to eCommerce co-manufacturers
  • Provide capacity analysis to support growth strategy
  • Coordination of the efforts of a diverse team on co-manufacturing and repackaging projects
  • Participation in cost management initiatives with the objective of driving flat to declining costs at all managed contarct manufacturing locations
  • Responsible for partnering with legal in the negotiation of mutually beneficial contracts that enable short-term profit goals to be obtained while locking in ongoing purchase cost reductions with new or existing co-packers
  • Establish Copack cost data and start up plans for new project launches. Facilitate project review process as needed to communicate project details including financials, capital, start-up considerations and any other topics relevant to the project to gain senior management alignment
  • Participate in period and annual financial reviews, providing cost analysis
  • Lead the AOP development for Co-Manufacturing including analysis (Incubation cost and scale cost), presentation preparation and delivery to senior eCommerce leaders.
  • Provide counsel to a broad range supply chain leaders on co-manufactuing capability (cost, quality and service)
  • Work jointly with R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Engineering and Co-maufacturing to source, justify, scope, scale up and commercialize new products.
  • Responsible for developing the business case for eCommerce SKUs (make vs. buy analysis, P&L analysis and cost modeling)


  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Willingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours and days
  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time
  • Experience in manufacturing , supply chain, logistics or transportation in the consumer packaged goods industry
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision
  • Project management skills required
  • Deep understanding of the cost/quality/service deliverables of a food manufacturing
  • Strong analytical / financial management skills (P&Ls, margin analysis, COMM)
  • Demonstrated change management skills
  • Ability to lead and drive an agenda through the organization to deliver results
  • Ability to lead effectively in an unstructured cross-BU environment, and to maintain a level of executive maturity through stressful situations
  • Innovative and Independent thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Ability to effectively engage and articulate concepts at the Tactical and Operational levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to effectively work with a wide range of stake holders across all of the Bus
  • Entrepreneur mentality
