Overview Location in North Division - States - MI, IN, OH, NY, RI, PA, NJ Responsibilities This field position, reporting to the Field EHS Sr. Director M&W (PBNA), contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by enabling EHS risk management including; risk identification, evaluation, control, regulatory compliance, incident investigation, and post incident management in the dynamic industry of warehousing, direct store delivery and transportation. This leader is an EHS subject matter in the areas of Safety and Environmental in manufacturing locations and can clearly articulate, develop and support implementation of a risk-based, prevention program. This person is responsible for implementing the PBNA Safety Annual Operating Plan within the North Division and building a localized Division EHS agenda based upon the AOP and the risk assessment analysis. This position supports the Division teams efforts by implementing programming, training, and consultation that helps each functional leader achieve their goals. The EHS Director of M&W has responsibility to anticipate EHS issues, assure risk management processes are applied, coach capabilities into the region teams, analyze incident data, and develop actionable solutions. This role requires EHS Leadership capabilities as defined in Managing the PepsiCo Way leadership framework around a Faster, Stronger, Better model. Employee advocacy and protection of others delivered through a prevention strategy is this Directors primary focus. The successful candidate will be an EHS leader for the company and be able to engage, motivate, and align the North Division towards designated local EHS objectives, as well as be a part of the development, recommendation, and implementation of Sector EHS policies and procedures. The candidate is expected to provide collaborative, proactive, and creative problem-solving ability to develop best-in-class EHS programs for the improvement of the overall EHS strategy and execution of that strategy solution. The candidate will be a member of the EHS PBNA Leadership team, led by the VP of EHS. Coach, develop and lead a team of direct report within the EHS field organization in the execution of the Zero Zone/Global EHS Management System across the North Division M&W PBNA locations Lead implementation of program elements/tools to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations and applicable company requirements (i.e. Lockout, Haz Com, Machine Safety, SARA, RCRA, DOT, etc.) Provide technical and regulatory expertise in developing EHS continuous improvement processes and determining needed follow up activities associated with EHS incidents, agency inspections, and/or internal/external audits Assist in the development of the strategic EHS annual operating plans, assess field location performance in relation to the EHS vision/plan, and determine necessary course corrections in order to achieve plan Conduct periodic plant visits and EHS activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory agency requirements, Zero Zone Management System standards, and internal PepsiCo EHS procedures Execute projects related to overall EHS plan deployment, understand key performance indicators, benchmark amongst PBNA locations to determine target location opportunities, and overall work hand-in-hand with the VP M&W, Sr. Dir M&W, Sr. Dir HR, GTM EHS Director, Field EHS team members, and other like key location Leadership to reduce EHS risk across the organization Develop and perform risk assessments and assist in the implementation of effective physical and/ or behavioral control measures. Recognize and verify the effectiveness of in-place control measures Identify unsafe equipment operation and conditions while demonstrating knowledge of appropriate corrective action for unsafe conditions or equipment use Participate in the development of leading and lagging Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that deliver best in class EHS performance and demonstrate a high level of urgency around needed EHS paradigm culture shift change Analyze key EHS data and help develop prevention plans to address process or risks gaps. Think strategically and ensure EHS Performance plans are timely, achievable, and performance based Exercise a leadership, coordination, and communication role with the internal EHS organization, as well as other business partners such as Engineering, Human Resources, Operations, and M&W businesses to drive continuous EHS improvement across the organization Define and analyze data trends and EHS performance to ensure that the right priorities are identified and acted upon for the organization. Coach leaders at all levels within the organization and use strong influencing skills around EHS goals/values and that a strong EHS culture ensures business productivity targets can be met Identify issues, coach and lead field locations in development of a corrective action plan to address root basic causes and management system weak-spots using industry-recognized cause analysis techniques (5-Why, 8-D, etc.) Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $113,300 - $226,600 Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out Annually. And an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period. Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.
