Position Summary:

Provide Engineering support and expertise in the design, development, and manufacture of products for B Braun Medical and other customers as part of a cross-functional product development and realization team.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair or improve products, components or assemblies.
  • Analyzes, develops and evaluates products.
  • Improves and maintains current products or creates brand new products.
  • Prepares bids for new projects.
  • Collaborates with customers as part of a focused, cross-functional team.
  • Designs and reviews blueprints with designer, visits customers and manages projects.
  • Must be SME in field at higher levels of job.
  • Creates test protocols and analyzes data from the execution of those protocols.
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training , assigning and checking the work of lower level employees. Referring only complex problems and issues
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.
  • Mechanical Engineering, BioMedical Engineering, and Material Science degrees (or equivalent) are preferred given the type of projects and products.
  • Project Management Professional certification or Project Management experience is preferred.


Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc


  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. Engineering) from four-year college or university and 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of 10 years of education and experience.
  • Domestic travel with the remote possibility of International travel.
