Sodexo has an excellent opportunity for a polished and professional Executive Chef 2 with a Corporate Services account located in Battle Creek, MI

 

Great Opportunity for a seasoned Executive Chef for a New Sale in central Michigan. This site will be at a Client Corporate Headquarters and will have high client visibility and be the single point of contact for a portfolio of accounts. This client facing position will need to have the ability to drive results through others while managing a portfolio of different size accounts. The right candidate will need to drive financial results while also ensuring a consistent culinary vision.

 

This individual would oversee a multi-concept retail cafe and catering for our client's corporate office. This manager will have total unit operating responsibilities including the supervision of hourly staff which include around 30 Sodexo non-union frontline employees.

 

This Chef will oversee around 3.5 million dollars in annual managed volume for this exciting new piece of business. This individual will plan and supervise special functions, maintain cash control and payroll records, hire and train unit personnel, and maintain customer satisfaction. We are looking for candidates with a culinary background, strong leadership skills, and catering experience.

 

Key duties will include the following: 

  • Monitor and manage operations by upholding contract guarantees
  • Manage the budget by increasing revenue and controlling costs, reviewing financial statements and tracking operating expenses
  • Build and lead a great team
  • Constantly improve food service operations in order to drive client and customer satisfaction
  • Manage through mangers to achieve Sodexo objectives 
  • Ensure the execution of product and service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery
  • Promote and support workplace diversity initiatives as well as create a positive work environment
  • Develop strategic plans for account retention and growth

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.  Key Duties- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.  - Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.- Manages catering & retail areas.- Customer & Client satisfaction.- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.-  Manages food & physical safety programs.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience Basic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
