**Unit Description**

**Sodexo Corporate Services** is looking for a **Campus Executive Chef 3 t** o join our team at USAA in San Antonio, TX! The current food landscape is comprised of a Production Kitchen, 4 Corporate Cafes, 5 Micro-markets, 3 licensed Starbucks, and Catering Operations.

The **Executive Chef 3** will have oversight of the culinary operation with a strong focus on culinary innovation and catering. The Chef will lead a team of a production manager, three sous chefs, and 34+ front-line employees.

The **Executive Chef 3** will be responsible for menu development, leading and developing hourly employees. In addition, the **Executive Chef 3** will be instrumental in elevating the food offering. Other duties include but not limited to:

+ Hands on with the culinary staff about 50% of the time

+ Supports all facets of daily culinary production, including all daily retail and catering production,

+ Menu creation and food costing

+ Strong focus on high-quality food presentation

+ Ability to communicate and build relationships with clients

+ Strong drive to be innovative with current food trends and operation processes

+ Strong understanding of Nutrition

The best qualified candidate will have excellent leadership experience and a focus on safety and sanitation and quality and standards. **The Executive Chef 3 will be creative and innovative in, addition to focusing on health and wellness offerings.** We are looking for someone with great communication and training skills.

This position offers a traditional Business & Industry, Predominately M-F scheduled. **Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible.**

Target Salary is 80K to 85K

**Position Summary**

Provides culinary leadership within a large sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.

Key Duties

- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.

- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.

- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.

- Manages catering & retail areas.

- Customer & Client satisfaction.

- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.

- Manages food & physical safety programs.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
