What You'll Do                                    

You will work with our Department of Defense team and leverage your experience and expertise to ensure the DOD is successful in achieving their mission while leveraging the Power of Cisco. You will establish and maintain customer relationships at the executive/business decision-maker level. 

We have an exciting Systems Architect opportunity on our team! This Pre-Sales Systems Architect (SA) will have a strong networking and architectural/solutions background. The position entails partnering with our Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role, showcasing Cisco product solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with Government and Federal customers.

This Systems Architect will partner with the Account Managers and Integrated Team to develop account strategy and develop technology solutions.

This role is responsible for showcasing Cisco product solutions, leveraging demonstrations, customer presentations, running proof of concepts, etc.

This Systems Architect will design and configure products to meet specific customer needs. They will gain access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in a variety of vertical markets.

Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services.

Provide technical and sales support for accounts in assigned territory.

Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.

Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.

Actively participate as a specialist on assigned Virtual Team and provides consultative support in their area of specialization to other Systems Architects. 

Who You Are

You have an excellent understanding of Cisco products and solutions with 5+ years in systems engineering or architecture (pre and post-sales) You are experienced in pre-sales account planning and experience in life cycle project planning. 

In additional to technological aptitude, and the ability to learn quickly and stay current, the ideal candidate's interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting skills evoke passion and confidence. You have an IT Industry and business perspective. Experience working with customers and cross-functional teams. Ability to work well in all levels of technical as well as sales contributor

You can demonstrate value to the team and are known as a Go-To person for top issues 

You excel at prioritizing issues based on business impact and collaborate with Operation Management team and extended team to solve issues 


Our minimum requirements for this role:

Applicant must have the ability to undergo a successful background investigation and maintain a US National Security clearance for this position. Requirements for a security clearance will be explained in detail upon receipt of your application and if your personal background prevents you from obtaining a clearance or passing a background investigation, application for this position will have to be returned to the applicant. 

CCIE preferred

Typically require BS/BA (EE/CS) and/or equivalent

5+ years of experience in customer centric roles, within deliver, IT, presales

Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings

Excellent verbal and written communications, listening and strong presentation skills

Strong knowledge of at least one of technology areas in SP IP/MPLS, SDA SDDWAN, DevOps or Security

Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills

Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to assess a problem and determine and effective course of action

Ability to work effectively and added value as a team member

10% travel
