Job Description:

The Finance Analyst supports program(s) with data analysis, communicates on financial matters with internal and external stakeholders, and is responsible for a wide array of fiscal tasks and reporting.

Essential Functions:
Administers the distribution of external payment requests and invoices. Duties may include gathering invoices, scheduling, monitoring, and coordination of payment requests and payments with sponsor and outside vendors.
Tracks and analyses of project actual expenditures. Duties include matching proof of payment with expenses, creating internal receipts, assigning budget/forecast coding to individual expenses, reconciling expenses against internal reporting systems, compiling expenses, and providing a detailed summary expenditures report.
Creates and updates student sponsorship documentation. Duties include generating student sponsorship documents for submission to sponsor and outside vendors/universities; tracking and reporting sponsorship updates, expirations, terminations, and leave of absences with internal and external sources.
Assists program manager in providing financial updates and policy. Duties include relaying details and decisions to student advisors on student payments, deductions, reimbursements, internal coding of expenses, and updating internal documents supporting Finance Manager assignments.
Data entry utilizing IIE's core technology systems. Duties may include scheduling payments, entering invoices, data entry for budgets, ensuring other data accuracy, creating graphic representations of the data, and/or maintaining office/department databases for easy retrieval of requested information.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in order to apply a working knowledge of the theories and principles in a specialized field or work discipline.
Requires at least two years of related work experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Good organization skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites including but not limited to Excel.
History of working with educational institutions and/or international development projects, a plus.

Essential functions are performed in a general office setting with low noise. Job demands may require long periods of sitting; telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interactions with other team members and external stakeholders.
