**Finance Analyst - Industrial Trainee**

**Department Overview**

Finance Analyst Industrial Trainee will provide comprehensive finance analysis, support and guidance to the European (EU) and Africa Middle Eastern (AfME) businesses. We partner with our clients providing management reporting through financial visibility and awareness, enabling sound business decisions to be made. We operate with the upmost integrity, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The Finance Analysts are responsible for, but not limited to, conducting the following key activities: Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, Financial Management Reporting analytics, Presentation development and preparation, Data Validation, and Report consolidation and submission.

**What can I achieve and what will I be responsible for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?**

To assist the Senior Finance Analyst and the wider finance team in their role of providing financial management and analysis service delivery to the EU and AfME businesses:

+ Preparation, validate the accuracy, and delivery of standard management reporting deliverables. This includes reports with high visibility to senior management such as revenue and profit & loss reporting.

+ Involvement in Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting with the submission of the market level plans and preparation, validation & delivery of management reporting.

+ Responding to questions and requests raised by our customer group through various communication channels including Email, MS Teams, by phone.

+ Root cause analysis - Research business related variances, and provide business insights to our internal customers.

+ Ad-hoc investigations and analytical reporting as required.

+ Involvement in team-based projects, including departmental Continuous Improvement initiatives

**When can I start?**

Official placements will start on the first working day in September 2021 and will run for 12 months. However, we would like to ask our successful candidates to start around mid-July 2021 employed as Pfizer contractors for 6 weeks, to so that they can start the handover process with our current Industrial Trainees.


Type of person we are looking for, in relation to ' **Skills** ', ' **Knowledge** ' and ' **Motivation** ':

+ Completing placement as part of University Degree

+ Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment

+ Strong Maths and English skills

+ Self-assurance to liaise with Pfizer personnel at all levels

+ Ability to generate creative and innovative ideas

+ Enthusiastic and pro-active approach

+ IT literacy (in particular, knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred)
