Position located in Spring, TX



This position provides leadership, functional support, and integration for chemical product safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulatory activities with focus on global compliance of products marketed into sensitive end use applications such as food, food contact, pharmaceuticals, and medical.



**Business Scope/Dimensions:**



+ Work closely with global marketing, technology, and sales to assure current and future products globally comply with sensitive end use regulations (food, pharmaceuticals, and medical). The position supports global and regional business units and interfaces with the ExxonMobil biomedical science (EMBSI) organization, the ExxonMobil Chemical law department, the ExxonMobil Chemical global product stewardship & regulatory affairs (PS&RA) organization, external industry / trade associations, and regulatory agencies.







Primary Job Functions



+ Enable businesses to be competitive and maintain license to operate in sensitive end applications via robust surveillance, advocacy, and compliance strategies

+ Provide leadership, regulatory support, and subject matter expertise

+ Be a technical expert in sensitive end uses regulations (food, pharmaceuticals, and medical)

+ Evaluate impact to businesses of sensitive end use regulatory changes

+ Interface with businesses/functions to ensure effective & efficient information exchange of relevant regulations, laws, and policies

+ Advocate sensitive end use positions with industry associations and regulatory agencies

+ Evaluate the regulatory impact of businesses/manufacturing changes

+ Provide guidance on regulatory/industry trends to assist in business strategy development

+ Drive collaboration and synergy capture across all businesses/functions







Job Requirements



+ A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role; operations/plant and/or product technology in polymers experience preferred with established knowledge and demonstrated expertise in sensitive end use regulations (food, pharmaceuticals, and medical)

+ Minimum of a bachelor of science degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related technical field

+ Strong interpersonal and organizational management skills

+ Positive attitude; good team player

+ Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision

+ Possess strong safety leadership with demonstrated commitment to safety







Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities



+ Good communication, influencing, and analytical skills

+ Experience working with people from different cultural backgrounds

+ Ability to work with various levels of the organization

+ Bi-Lingual Preferred Spanish and/or Portuguese

+ Occasional global/regional travel required

+ Occasional teleconferences outside of normal working hours required
