The Food Service Manager will be supporting kitchen, cafeteria and patient services operations. Candidates with strong back of the house and production experience are encouraged to apply.


This position will work mostly 11 AM start time shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays. This manager job is perfect for the passionate food service professional who desires a better work life balance!


The ideal candidate can expect work to include:


  • Managing all culinary production in conjunction with Executive Chef and General Manager
  • Work with cooks to ensure consistent recipe compliance
  • Assist in completing weekly department inventory as needed
  • Work with all cooks to ensure HACCP compliance and completion daily
  • Work with cooks on training culinary foundations and ensuring that correct culinary procedures are followed
  • Ensure that all safety policies are in place and being followed and that all staff is wearing the correct PPE
  • Work culinary staff to maintain the set standards to ensure consistency and a well-built station
  • Work with culinary staff on customer service around special requests, allergens, and food interaction

Ideally, qualified candidates will have the following experience:

  • Demonstrated experience supervising a culinary team and exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skill-set.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current wellness and culinary trends and sustainability.
  • A strong production culinary background
  • Ability to effectively communicate to multiple audiences and develop strong relationships with customers at all levels.
  • Ability to successfully engage, lead and develop a team.
  • Excellent computer skills as well as exceptional organizational and customer services skills.
  • Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.Key Duties- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory - Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement  



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent     

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
