Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 to support Retail Food Service and Patient Meal Service for DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO.  SSM Health DePaul Hospital - St. Louis treats patients from across the St. Louis metropolitan area, including the communities of Bridgeton, Florissant, Hazelwood, St. Ann, St. John, Maryland Heights and Overland. We offer a wide range of comprehensive medical care, including the only Level II Trauma Center in north St. Louis County, a Level I Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center and the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in St. Louis County.

 

We are looking for Food Service Management candidates who will:

  • implement performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve customer satisfaction;
  • monitor patient tray operations and daily meal rounding;
  • interact with patients and the nursing staff;
  • perform tray assessments, training, stocking/inventory of the floors;
  • work a flexible schedule that will include opening and closing schedules including every other weekend and;
  • perform some HR functions and direct supervision of up to 23 hourly employees.. 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies
  • experience with retail and patient services
  • previous experience working in a high volume, fast paced facility
  • strong management skills

 

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.Key Duties- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory - Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement  

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent     

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
