Sodexo is seeking an Food Service Manager 2 to lead our Patient Service Team at Jersey City Medical Center, in Jersey City, New Jersey.   Jersey City Medical Center is a 350 bed account and has provided Hudson County advanced, state-of-the-art medical treatment across a broad spectrum of different disciplines. Jersey City Medical Center serves as a regional referral, teaching hospital and provides renowned care for cardiac patients, women and infants, and those in needed of emergency services.

Reporting to the General Manager, our Food Service Manager 2 will assist the General Manager in all aspects of the patient dining in the Food & Nutrition Services Department.  The FSM 2 will manage the day to day operation of patient dining.  The manager will help to develop a patient first concept and train staff in patient services which will help to grow patient satisfaction.  The ideal candidate will have prior management level experience in a hospital environment, will be a customer focused, innovative leader with exceptional customer service skills as well as demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and manage patient services in the unit. Experience with Health touch and Expressly For You patient dining would be helpful. Previous union experience is a plus.

 

We are seeking an energetic manager to guide staff of 18-22 union client employees. Hours for this position may vary and are Monday through Friday 5-2pm or 11 to 7/8pm with some nights and weekends as needed

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.Key Duties- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory - Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement  

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent     

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
