We are seeking a Global Account Manager for the Volkswagen Group account to join our team in Germany.

What You'll Do

You will be a key contact for Volkswagen Group with its 12 brands and a key member of the global Volkswagen Account Team. Your responsibility will be to lead different Volkswagen operational entities and to build and execute the sales strategy. Your success will reflect in sales achievements, long term customer relationships and satisfaction.

In this job you will,

  • Sell Cisco products, services and solutions to existing and new contacts within the customer organizations.
  • Match customer needs with state-of-the-art technology solutions and partners
  • Understand, articulate and position the value of technology to line of business
  • Focus on great customer experience and become your customers' trusted advisor
  • Identify customer business and technology needs through relationship building with key customer stakeholders
  • Maintain a high-profile Cisco presence in the market-place
  • Build and execute strategic initiatives with global HQ team and local country Account Managers
  • Provide business development support - positioning services with the client services manager
  • Understand automotive industry strategies, business challenges, and desired business outcomes
  • Develop a technology, solutions-oriented strategy at a vertical or segment level
  • Identify gaps and drive innovation solutions that close the gaps into the portfolio and into the accounts covered
  • Deliver accurate business metrics, monthly forecasts, weekly commits and pipeline development reports
  • Control costs to ensure that expenditure is being led in line with budgets
  • Work in a high-/direct customer touch model, but ensure partner loyalty
  • Anticipate any change in the opportunities, market, customer needs and requirements that could impact the overall revenue target

Minimum Qualifications

  • Consistent record of negotiating large and complex deals with customers procurement and legal department
  • Several years of relevant sales experience, ideally gained with a global customer
  • Ability of innovative, creative and out of the box thinking
  • Solid background and understanding of product, service, and channels sales as well as service delivery at Cisco or comparable experience from another company
  • Proficiency in German and English language
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired skills

  • Enterprise proven experience strongly desired
  • Broad knowledge of the vertical Automotive-industry and its trends combined with IT/OT- expertise as well as cloud and platform services
  • Proven knowledge, especially around data center and (multi-)cloud, teamwork and recurring offers
  • Team worker, works effectively within the global team delivering own targets and supporting others
  • Customer Focus, ensures that is aware of customer needs and expectations, constantly striving to deliver extraordinary performance
  • Doer, sets high personal standards and is goal oriented. Demonstrated success in long term planning of resources, technology and account structure.
  • Consistent record in selling complex technical solutions, consumption models and business outcomes to customer executive management and their teams
  • Experience in building actionable long- and short term account plans based on a deep understanding of the impacts of business and technology trends
