The role represents a unique opportunity to provide value-added solutions and to collaborate with Global Procurement (GP) Planning and Control teams, Corporate and Sector/BU Control, GP commercial teams, leadership, international Global Procurement governance contracts, and internal and outsourced IT support.

Responsible for performing independent review of GP global SOX and operating (GCS) controls, including support in achieving effective results and influence over maintaining a robust control environment.

In addition, this role will assist the application of PepsiCo GCS principles in the implementation of process and system changes needed to address gaps identified during the process/control risk assessments or audits, and implementation of new processes and/or systems.


As a GP Finance Senior Analyst you will:


Compliance with PepsiCo GCS (including SOX controls

  • Assist with the design, documentation, and sustainment of global GP SOX and GCS controls

    • Performing independent control testing, documenting and communicating testing results

    • Assist in performing, documenting, aligning, and communicating annual GCS maturity assessments

  • Assist with the development and implementation of control failure remediation plans, including alignment with key stakeholders

  • Collaborate with global Controller and Process Owners to ensure an effective and efficient design of controls at any point in time, compliant with policies, and supporting the achievement of operational objectives

  • Ensure robust self-testing process is in place, via walkthrough reviews, independent testing and benchmarking

  • Assist with maintaining GP control documentation including process narratives, flowcharts, RCMs, test scripts, test results, and the GCS tool control expertise to ensure effective identification and management of risks, design of processes and controls to mitigate risks, monitoring of performance of controls

  • Assist in training of process executives, and process and control owners as needed on the GCS, their controls, performance of walk throughs, and other GCS topics to ensure their understanding of their accountabilities under the GCS

Systems Support and Controls

    • Assist in ensuring proper functioning and ongoing sustainment, including user access controls, of involving key tools and applications used by GPNY Control team

    • Assist in playing a role in identifying areas for increase automation to improve process integrity and efficiency

    • Work with IT to maintain all needed IT Security Policy exceptions, including performing and documenting any risk assessments to support the exception requests


Audit Support

  • Assist audit preparations and requirements related to SOX and GCS controls

    • Ensure all teams support timely completion of the audit. Complete prior year audit before end of each current calendar year

  • Corporate Audits of GP teams

    • Act as point person for the audits, explain our processes, participate in weekly updates, assessing issues, and ensuring clear and accurate understanding of issues by auditors

    • Support KPMG and Corporate Annual Reviews of our SOX controls

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (Finance or Accounting)
  • 5+ years accounting and control experience in a control function or financial audit role


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to articulate and educate non-accountants regarding the reasons behind control requirements to ensure alignment and compliance
  • CPA and/or internal audit experience preferred
  • SOX compliance skills (+ GCS experience for internal candidates) preferred
  • Strong analytical, technology, communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven, independent thinker
  • Results-oriented, able to anticipate change and respond to business priorities with agility
  • Ability to work in matrix organization; handle competing priorities; and keep multiple projects on track
  • Ability to prepare and present control information to senior leaders
  • Digital transformation experience a plus
