The Human Resources Assistant must be a polished professional who will serve to provide assistance in all areas of Human Resources and day-to-day operations. Reporting to the HR Director, the Assistant helps in creating, maintaining and updating all personnel records. The Assistant helps Human Resources with policies and programs to ensure consistency. They assist to maintain current and accurate HRIS databases.


  • Provide HR and administrative support for a company of about 200 employees
  • Maintain HR records by recording new hires, terminations, promotions, pay increases, paid time off, updates to personal information, etc.
  • The recruiting and on-boarding of new employees
  • Support recruiting team by greeting candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting with job postings
  • Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate onboarding duties such as ensuring necessary paperwork is received, alerting other departments of new hires, preparing materials for new hire orientations
  • File new hire paperwork and audit employee personnel files as needed
  • Assist with verifying employment and answering questions from outside agencies
  • Submit the online investigation requests and assist with new employee background checks
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of the performance reviews by communicating with management on due dates and monitoring and ensuring completion
  • Respond to employee requests and questions in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Job Requirements
  • At least 1 year of general HR or administrative support experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of integrity and judgment
  • Must have strong Excel skills as well as Word and other Office programs
