Your Role and Responsibilities
Your Role and Responsibilities

The basic responsibilities are common to all IBM squad leaders: balancing the people resources in the related squads, motivating and engaging them in the tribe work, developing skills, evaluating performance and recognizing contributions. Have a good grasp and understanding of the Delivery processes to be able to support and lead a squad of HR advisors, achieve goals on SLAs, productivity and client satisfaction. Squad leaders report directly into the Account Tribe lead.


Business & Operation
  • Leads a maximum of two HR squads
  • Leads HR Advisors to meet SLAs & to drive improvement in covered process area
  • Drives continuous improvement by fostering & promoting iterations across the different squads, in order to increase squad productivity, efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Drives change and manages all aspects of a change for own squads
  • Analyzes metrics results. Implements corrective actions / mitigation plans when required
  • Observes bottlenecks and waste. Owns and showcases the outcomes

HR & People Management
  • Acts as servant leader
  • Coaches, mentors, and develops employees, provides career development planning and opportunities for them
  • Carries out people management activities
  • Monitors and gives feedback on performance and implements improvement plans if needed
  • Provides oversight and direction to employees in accordance with IBM values and Client Operations' mission
  • Ensures compliance to corporate guidelines such as Checkpoint, BCG and mandatory IBM & Client training, ILC claiming, Workday claiming, vPlanner

Relationship Management
  • Ensures high level of client satisfaction
  • Establishes a strong and fluid relationship with the client organization and serve as a consultant on the execution feasibility of the requests
  • Manages escalations and other customer complaints (serves as clients single point of contact for escalations)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Fluent English language skills
  • Fluent German language skills
  • Good understanding of HR processes
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Proven record of HR experience
  • Agile experience & practice
  • Ability to lead squads and develop squad members
  • Ability to attract, inspire and retain competent and committed people
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication & decision-making skills
  • Time and project management skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • German Payroll experience is preferred
  • Squad leadership/IM experience is an advantage
