Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an HR Training & Operations Specialist. This position will be located in one of the following offices: Global Operations &Innovation Center (GOIC) in Wheeling WV, New York, San Francisco or Sacramento.

What responsibilities will you have? As an HRTraining & Operations Specialist, you will be a key member of the Firmwide HR Team providing support across all HR service areas with a concentration on training and development, administering the staff performance management process, and leading our professional staff internship and mentoring programs. You will work closely with the Firmwide Director of Employee Relations and the HR Senior Business Partners to develop and launch innovative HR programs and initiatives that specifically support the staff population across the globe. You will team with HR and department leaders to identify and address the unique needs of our staff to shape an exceptional employee experience and create an inclusive and engaging culture.

In this role, you will work directly with the Firmwide Director of Employee Relations, HR Senior Business Partners and Department Managers to design innovative curriculum, programs, or learning solutions for different level of audiences, manage the Orrick DISC account and manage the staff PrePair program. You will assist with the hiring process for firmwide position and maintain an active presence among various departments providing support and promoting communication and employee engagement.

You will engage with the HR Team on special projects, team with HR leaders on the implementation of the new HRIS system, create manage and report on various staff surveys, oversee the development and continual improvement of the HR Dashboard and manage the Fortune 100 survey and response process.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 4+ years of meaningful experience in business content development and project management preferably within human resources, including 2+ years experience in designing and implementing training programs highly desirable.

  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolveproblems in a timely manner.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings.

  • Ability to tailor communication style to audience and draft communications in a style consistent with firms brand.

  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.

  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.

  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.

  • Proven ability to manage change and shift gears comfortably; highly effective in ambiguous environments and able to produce maximum results with little direction and guidance.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities while balancing quality with on-time delivery.

  • MS Office Suite proficiency with advanced PowerPoint skills.
