Job Summary:



The HR Generalist will be a core member of the Human Resources team and will be based in San Antonio, TX. The HR Generalist will be responsible for the day to day functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including but not limited to full cycle recruitment practices, employee onboarding, compliance, employee communications, enforcing company policies and practices.


 


This role will be a Hybrid work location. Remote and onsite work will be required with occasional travel. Adequate internet service required as most interactions are held virtually via Google Meet. 


 


Education:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field OR Equivalent experience required.


 



Experience:



  • 2-4 years of progressive recruiting experience in Recruitment and Human Resources, preferable in Property Management

  • Bilingual (Spanish) - Required 

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, is a must

  • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent  research skills and attention to details

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.

  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with Federal and State labor laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

  • Basic understanding of Workers Comp and OSHA Safety

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software, HRIS Systems and/or other department related operation systems.





Personal Competencies:



  • Ability to maintain complex records and to assemble and organize data

  • Have excellent communication skills - written and verbal, must also have experience in planning and organizing, prioritizing, problem assessment and problem-solving 

  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to work both independently and in teams.



Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

  • Assists in maintaining of HRIS, ATS, (Paycor) along with any other operating systems used in the department 

  • Coordinates distribution/communication of projects including but not limited to Employee Policy handbook, 401(k), open enrollment

  • Maintain required notices and postings for local, state and federal laws. Update and add additional notices as required.

  • Recruits and interviews candidates; provide management with hiring recommendations.

  • Support the recruiting process by creating job descriptions, post jobs, filter rsums, screen candidates, set up interviews, conduct background checks & references, negotiates salary offers, and prepares offer letters

  • Schedules and attends Hiring Events with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.

  • Ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
