Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Sterling is a Solution Suite of Solution that helps our client in various industries to move data and files from 1 server to another, from enterprises to enterprises in a Secure and timely manner. IBM Sterlings clientele spans from Mega Banking and Finance, Govt to small retail outlets in outlaying cities.
As the IBM Sterling Sales Rep, you will be responsible for identifying and developing B2B, B2G and A2A specific solutions that address our clients' business needs (both industry and business) and deliver tangible client value while supporting Intelligent business strategies. You will work to create solutions which are tailored to clients' business needs and integrate other IBM brand capabilities in a way that is valued by the customer and superior to the competition. In this role, is it essential that you are able to apply industry-specific knowledge and experience to bring new business and technology insights to assigned territories & clients.

* Creative prospecting through campaigns, business partners, and other activities to identify new clients
* Providing sales leadership and moving sales opportunities to closure
* Working with other sellers, business partners, and units of IBM as needed to create an effective solution for the client
* Maintaining a thorough understanding of the clients industry, including industry trends, industry business processes, industry financial measurements and performance indicators, and key client competitors in their industry
* Collaborating with the channel organization to develop partners and their solutions to shorten sales cycles by selling to the LoBs
* Meeting quarterly and annual sales revenue quotas

* Develop Territory Plan and communicating this with the various stakeholders within the company and partner ecosystem that will help you achieve your goal.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 10 years of work experience with customers in sales
Self-starter who learns new technologies quickly, and has strong analytical skills.
Ability to work with customers, build relationships, show the value IBM can bring using technical arguments, diplomacy and by applying market and use case expertise. Stay engaged and supportive though to the completion of the sales process and focus on client success.
Strong strategy and vision skills on cloud transformation, Blockchain and AI.
Knowledge of Enterprise Integration and Value of SaaS & Cloud is required.
Ability to run discovery meetings with clients to identify use cases, business problems and prioritize initiatives
Approximately 25% to 50% travel
Education: Bachelors Degree Required

  • International experience working with clients globally and working with diverse cultures is a big plus
  • Data science, machine learning and open source analytics technology ecosystem understanding
  • Team leadership and people management skills and experience, leading in matrix organization
  • Sales quota carrying or technical sales background
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
