*Opportunity Overview*
At Edward Jones we are developing next-generation infrastructure solutions to meet the evolving needs of our growing business. The Infrastructure Technical Architect will play an integral role in setting enterprise-level technical direction and executing on our digital strategy. Current high priority initiatives include Cloud initiative execution, large scale process automation, self-service capabilities, advancing operational efficiencies, and enhanced monitoring.

Candidates should have a background in Cloud computing, supporting and deploying critical IT infrastructure and leveraging major vendors' technologies to perform the planning and execution of platform currency, storage and compute capacity management, projects, and research efforts.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, driven and exhibit technical leadership to identify, design, drive and support digital transformational for the future needs of Edward Jones.
*Position responsibilities *

* Collaborate with internal Cloud Center of Excellence and application architecture team
* Lead the design and build out IaaS solutions in multiple cloud providers
* Refine Cloud IaaS strategy as business needs evolve
* Champion and drive innovation to provide infrastructure operational efficiencies
* Expand IaC automation and best practices to align with DevOps practices
* Maintain knowledge of infrastructure industry trends and best practices
* Build and maintain infrastructure services catalog
* Improve existing infrastructure services to provide an exceptional experience
* Assist with technical development and mentoring of team members
* Align on-prem infrastructure and cloud strategies to create optimal hybrid solutions
* Conduct cost benefit analysis and make recommendations for infrastructure investments

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems or related work experience
* Minimum of 10 years of IT experience across multiple infrastructure technology areas with at least three years of architecture experience on complex distributed systems
* Experienced in creating a strategic technology direction, aligning it with tactical activities, and communicating plans broadly across multiple audiences, including senior leaders, associates, and external vendors
* Well-rounded technical knowledge in systems administration, hardware, operating systems, storage and networking technologies
* Intune with current cyber security risks and mitigation solutions
* Experienced in automation, IaC, monitoring and deployment of enterprise scale infrastructure
* Ability to demonstrate thought leadership and an innovation mindset

* Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and build positive relationships throughout the organization and with vendors
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Self-motivated with the ability to actively participate in multiple large and complex efforts or projects simultaneously
* Ability to lead small project team
* Ability to mentor and help build technical skills of others
