The Edward Jones Innovation Factory exists to enable elevated human-centered workflow solutions in order to improve digital experiences for our clients, branch teams and home office to go from good to great where stakeholders choose to do so.
The small Innovation Factory team is intrapreneurial it includes a combination of capabilities that enable it to inject innovation into design and collaborate to produce modern user experiences that show the way for the firm, and push to scale across all our design and delivery capabilities.
The opportunities that are ripe for the Innovation Factory are dynamic and diverse so it gets to work on many levels including innovation, capability acceleration, influencing mindset shifts and partnering closely with design and delivery capabilities inside and outside the firm to simplify and modernize our digital footprint. The Product Manager will be responsible for identifying and showcasing/evangelizing in partnership with internal and external teams our new Enterprise Capabilities that drive unparalelled client and branch digital experiences.
Responsibility Summary:
* The Product Manager of the Innovation Factory (IF) will work in partnership with the Senior Product Owner to drive daily activities for a diverse group of IF team members and partners, focusing on accelerating the maturity of capabilities in Product Management, Design, Data, and Technology.
* Reporting to the Head of the Innovation Factory (currently also the Head of Software), this role will focus on co-developing an internal team to organize and scale the impact of the IF.
* Showcase the IF's advanced capabilities to firm-wide stakeholders (such as data driven intelligence, intelligent embedded support, mobile, workflow/business process automation, etc.) in a way that leads to mainstream adoption from the rest of the digital organization
* Work with the IF Senior Product Owner, key stakeholders, and business partners to continually evolve the vision of the Innovation Factory.
* Serve at the forefront of building strategic partnerships with Digital Product Management (DPM), Firm Strategic Enablement Office (FSEO), User Experience (UX), and Branch Experience (BX) to elevate design where stakeholders choose to do so.
* Partner with the behavioral science capability to infuse experiences and engineering with features that lead users to desired behavior or action.
* Drive the collaborative development of the Innovation Factory roadmap through strategic partnerships internally and externally to ideate on opportunities with an outside-thinking approach.
* Practice and promote a data-driven culture, data-driven research, and lean agile ways of working.
* Establish a vibrant model of Branch Team involvement in the IF process; promote the model to the field as a showcase of how we are working differently and delivering more value to the branch teams.

* Provide mentorship to other associates within the organization on the innovation principles and technical capabilities that can drive extraordinary experiences.
The core definition of success for the Innovation Factory is that it is invited or accepted into the digital design and planning activities of the firm to create advanced capabilities and elevate end user experiences from good to great. This position is accountable for creating that acceptance and support and delivering on its promise to influence better outcomes.

*Position Requirements*
Education/Certification:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science, or related field and master's degree preferred, or relevant professional experience.

Minimum Years of Experience:
* Minimum 9+ years of experience required in one or more of these fields:
* Lean agile product management
* Development and management of sophisticated workflow solutions in mission critical, enterprise contexts
* Financial planning, wealth management and/or portfolio construction
* Investment advisory, brokerage and/or insurance products

* Prior leadership experience in innovative, distributed environments with multiple external partners

Functional Knowledge:
* Experience delivering enhanced commercial value using digital experiences in financial services, including recent advancements, opportunities and current limitations/challenges
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex/abstract concepts in simple, cogent terms with impact
* Detail orientation with excellent analytical capabilities, possessing the ability to effectively contribute across multiple teams, disciplines, and time horizons
* The ability to organize, prioritize, and execute on work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong leadership skills with the ability to empower others and direct work in a way that maximizes both personal and team efficiency
* Mentoring capability to advance and develop team members and associates
* A robust understanding of full-cycle software development within a Lean Agile framework includes DevOps and SRE
* Product orientation with a strong sense of ownership, courage and ability to exercise judgment from strategic intent.
