Instructional Design & Program Lead, Ask The Expert

What youll do
The Instructional Design & Strategy Lead is responsible for the overall approach to designing and delivering value in our Ask The Expert (ATX) sessions, a webinar series supporting customers post-purchase as they onboard and implement their solutions. As part of the Digital Lifecycle Journeys team, in Ciscos Customer Experience Organization, this role is one of great strategic importance and responsibility in simplifying extremely complex topics for our customers, and enabling the access to this information in a one-to-many format, scaling Ciscos expertise. The right person will lead decisions around the format in which we deliver information to customers (perhaps expanding beyond the live virtual webinars hosted today), how well these sessions pieces serve customer needs, and how well these sessions guide our customers to better understand, adopt, and ultimately renew Cisco products and services. In addition, this role will participate in the overall experience around these webinars, driving demand generation and follow-up strategy for customers engaging with these events.

Strategically lead the direction of ATX sessions from ideation through design, development, delivery support, evaluation and enhancements
Understand formats and content types that support adult-learning audience adhering to instructional design and andragogical best practices

Partner closely with the web strategy team to enhance the overall customer experience including web registration, customer-facing calendar of events, demand gen, digital journey integration, etc.

Stakeholder management will be essential to ensure initiatives align with broader team and corporate goals 
Collaborate with the research team to ensure that the content topics and formats explored align with the customer voice
Work with analytics team to measure effectiveness and develop new strategies informed by those findings; devise modes of assessments to measure the effectiveness of initiatives 

Design and develop high-impact learning experiences grounded in adult learning principles using a wide variety of delivery methodologies; integrating innovative tools and approaches such as personalized learning, micro-learning, mobile learning, videos, communities, etc.
Support teams scheduling sessions in their region with insight and direction in topics and session times that drive greatest demand as well as operational support for hosts

Extensive cross-org collaboration and facilitation to ensure all the moving components come together to support successful learning events for our customers

What were looking for
BA/BS in Education, Training and Development, Learning and Development, Organizational Management, Communications, Marketing, or a closely aligned field
Knowledge of Instructional Design Best Practices 
Familiarity with highly technical topics like computer hardware, software, SaaS offerings, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and more
Experience developing, managing, and optimizing webinars, events, or other educational content
Strong organizational and project management skills

PowerPoint highly proficient 
Strong communications skills 
Experience and confidence working with senior management
Ability to manage multiple competing projects and deadlines
Must be a self-starter, have the ability to work independently and well within a team environment
Requires an appetite for creating a new role and teaching a new team about instructional design best practices 
Must be comfortable with multi-tasking, able to manage multi-step procedures, handle interruptions in workflow and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
High level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and excellent attention to detail
