**The Job** :

Integration Engineers (IE) on the Partner Integrations team are the technical owners of server-to-server (S2S) real-time integrations between the Xandr ad-serving platform and our external partners. These integrations are an essential part of the platform functionality expected by buyers and sellers, and the IEs mandate is to ensure the integration health platform-wide. IEs also advise internal teams as S2S integration experts. IEs have solid IT and engineering skills, customer-service mindset, and system-level understanding of how platforms interact with each other. Because each partners system is unique, IEs must be able to learn fast, figure out complex systems without documentation, and see how each component fits into Xandrs platform.


**You Will** :

- Scope, design, integrate, upgrade, and maintain scalable and stable integrations platform-wide. Integrations are done using OpenRTB protocols, SQL, and API.

- Advise industry partners (such as Google and Verizon) and their technical teams on the integration best practices.

- Build and maintain internal UIs, scripts, and tools in Python. This facilitates integration monitoring and testing processes, and efficiently completing tasks based on partners or internal needs.

- Test new products, build enablement processes, create runbooks, and roll out products to partners with Product and Partner Tech Engineering teams.

- Serve as an escalation point to help resolve complex S2S integration-related issues or networking issues.


**Your Typical Day Might Look Like** :

You start the day by joining a 15-minute team standup. Then you answer a partner's questions about a new product they are testing. With the information from the engineering team, you clearly explain how it works to the partner. You also give them testing instructions using API, suggest changes to the OpenRTB bid response content, and monitor the real-time traffic while they test.


After that, you join a meeting with the product and account management teams to discuss and plan a roll-out of a new product to the partners. For that, you create and document the migration process for internal teams.


There is an escalation from a support member about a networking issue, so you internally answer it. You also join a weekly call with the partner and our account manager.


After lunch, you spend time creating specs for a demand partner health check tool, which calls API, accesses databases, and parses the JSON of the real-time bid stream. You write some code in Python and share it with the team for feedback.


There is an alert from the traffic monitoring we set up for strategic partners, so you take a look at the partner's setup to see if any improvements can be made. You soon find a problem and reach out to the partner's engineering team to implement a fix.


**Must Have:**

- 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering, solutions architect, technical services or similar role.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to learn quickly and work comfortably in ambiguity.

- Familiarity with SQL querying, and one or more scripting programming languages such as Python and JavaScript. No need to know algorithms and data structures for this role. If you can write a function, are familiar with programming, and want to learn more, you're welcome to apply.

- Quantitatively-oriented bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.


**Nice to Have:**

- 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering, solutions architect, technical services or similar role.

- Experience in process creation, product rollout, product testing, and/or cross-functional collaboration.

- Experience with and the knowledge of OpenRTB protocols, RESTful APIs, command line usage, and/or HTML.

- Ability to see how integrations fit within larger systems.

- Versatile, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
