Cisco Global Supplier Management (GSM) team is seeking a motivated Technical Sourcing Commodity Manager for Interconnect commodity. You will join a highly impactful and dynamic organization collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers on early technology sensing and sourcing engagement.

We work closely with hardware design engineers across Cisco including early sensing and engagement to understand their product roadmap. You will lead and orchestrate the roadmap reviews between engineering and suppliers, find solutions, build proposals, and implement to meet business requirements, striking a balance between supply continuity, cost, and delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Investigate and source next-generation of technologies, High-Speed I/O, ICMs, High-Speed Cables, RF, others. You must have a TECHNICAL understanding of the BOM and technologies!
  • Work with suppliers to ensure they are aligned to Ciscos technical roadmap.
  • Provide technical expertise, special knowledge, and market directions to the engineering teams
  • Work with suppliers to get the early technology access engagement to develop New Products
  • Work with suppliers and the engineering teams to review the technical specifications and address the specification gaps.
  • Obtain pre-FCS and FCS quotations, NPI schedule, production capacity, supply flexibility, quality from the suppliers
  • Work with the engineering and legal team to draft agreements, SoWs, MOU, etc
  • Drive value engineering through conceptualization and execution
  • Prepare and present Supplier Business Reviews

You will have experience with Interconnect technologies, and knowledge of the industry. You must have technical knowledge w.r.t. High-Speed I/O, High-Speed Cables, ICMs, RF, others business experience, communication skills, arent intimidated by titles, and can work with people toward a shared goal. Youre an innovator and you love technology.

You'll use your ability to influence, both inside and outside Cisco, to make sure we implement our strategy. Your top negotiation skills are used daily so that Cisco is bold in the marketplace and our customers love our products.

Our Minimum Requirements For This Role:

  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • Technical or MS degree preferred
  • 10+ years of cross-functional supply chain experience
  • Strong TECHNICAL experience in Interconnects industry and technology.
  • Strong collaboration, communications, negotiations, facilitation, and contract reviews skills.
  • Adept at influencing decisions and developing solutions to sophisticated business situations related to Interconnect technologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • The ability to work across boundaries, earn trust, take the risk, and be inclusive is highly valued
  • International travel required
