This position provides investment product and platform support to new and existing retirement plan clients of Prudential Retirement. Clients include the full service Defined Contribution (DC), Defined Benefit (DB) and Nonqualified (NQ) plans administered by Prudential. The role acts as the primary investment platform contact for the sales and strategic relationships organizations in support of business development, as well as an investment product resource to the relationship management and client service groups. The majority of time in this role is allocated towards investment sourcing, product customization, and the design and development of non-standard investment solutions for Clients and Prospects. In addition, this role is accountable for the management, oversight, and contract negotiations of all 3rd party investments available on the Retirement platform. Investment products include, but are not limited to: retail mutual funds, registered and unregistered insurance company separate accounts, stable value, collective investment trusts, exchange traded funds, asset allocation (risk based) funds, target date funds, and retirement income products. The position reports to the Director of Investment Platform Strategy & Solutions within the Investment Platform Solutions segment of Prudential Retirement.

Key responsibilities and functions include:

  • New and existing client support for product research, availability, investment functionality / capability positioning, and driving business acceptance
  • Coordination, implementation support and general oversight of non-standard Client and Prospect investment solutions
  • Development and ongoing maintenance of an investment work-in-progress pipeline to help report on and drive timely execution of Client and Prospect deliverables
  • Formulation of product/capability sourcing strategies to meet real-time marketplace demand
  • Project management centered on client specific investment product needs
  • Management and coordination of operational/legal/communication (internal & external) related activities in support of seamless delivery of investment solutions
  • Product level support to the investment service team, promoting effective and profitable investment solutions to meet new business and existing client needs
  • Support of investment product and platform training within Prudential Retirement
  • Management and oversite of contractual relationships with the investment companies
  • This role may also include direct leader of people responsibility

  • Drive to Learn: Ability to ascend a steep learning curve required to develop deep understanding about the investment products offered by Prudential Retirement including income-oriented products
  • Strong ability to drive outcomes in a highly matrixed environment
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills

  • Bachelors degree, MBA and/or CFA preferred
  • 5-7 years of minimum investment, financial/retirement services and/or product management/development experience in a financial services setting
  • Sound understanding of investment concepts and products, particularly in their application within retirement programs
  • Regulatory and SRO familiarity in financial services industry
  • Strong written, verbal and motivational skills
  • FINRA 6 and 63 Licensing Required with 120 days of start date
