Role Summary

Rapid Response Monitoring is seeking a Junior Application Developer to join our Syracuse office team. As a Developer, you will assist Rapid's Programming department by leveraging your experience in programming and software design to help develop web and mobile applications for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of full stack web applications utilizing ASP.NET or equivalent framework (C#, Dapper, Angular, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript)
• Update existing mobile and web applications
• Aid in the development of applications utilizing Microsoft .NET (C#, Dapper)
• Contribute to the development of applications that interact with databases (MS SQL Server, TSQL, Dapper, ADO.NET)
• Support the design of REST and SOAP based web service APIs
• Collaborate with IT to perform system updates and routine maintenance

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, computer engineering, or a related field of study
• Working or classroom experience building applications using Microsoft .NET and C#
• Working or classroom experience building HTML, CSS, TypeScript based web applications
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
• Demonstrated ability to creatively analyze problems, and design and implement advanced software solutions
• Must live in or around the Syracuse area to work onsite in our Syracuse location
• Many of our positions require an extra level of screening to obtain Department of Defense security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Working or classroom experience building single page web applications (Angular, React, Vue)
• Working or classroom experience developing Android/Apple mobile applications

COVID-19 Requirements

• Must be fully vaccinated: 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson, 2 weeks prior or more
• Booster shot is required 2 months after Johnson & Johnson or 5 months after second dose of Pfizer/Moderna
