KAM Center of Excellence and Enablement Team Lead

The KAM Center of Excellence and Enablement (CoEE) Team Lead will lead a global Center of Excellence team (CoE) consisting of US Enablement Directors and global KAM Directors who will work cross-functionally across the enterprise to develop and deliver a globally leading KAM platform focused on continuous improvement measured by clearly defined key performance indicators that serve as benchmarks for success across the Key Account Management platform.

As a member of the KAM Leadership Team, the lead will work with KAM Platform Leadership and a broad, multi-disciplinary group of enterprise stakeholders to identify, develop, and execute processes and programs that optimize KAM performance and advances Pfizer capabilities by developing, evolving and improving the effectiveness of the KAM operational infrastructure, training curriculum, account team model, deployment, analytical approach, strategy, technology platforms, and promotional resources.


+ Lead the development and execution of a Global Center of Excellence Operating Plan, to include prioritization of global markets, country leads alignment, platform development, communication plan development, and market planning/execution.

+ Actively contribute to the IM Operating Plan development and execute align strategies and tactics.

+ Collaborate with leadership to identify key themes and initiatives to advance productivity, results, and identify funding and staff from internal/external partners ensuring subject matter expertise for optimal approach and outcomes.

+ Partner cross-functionally with enabling internal/external functions & networks to deliver insights and execute initiative(s) to evolve approach and results.

+ Identify and prioritize the right continuous improvement projects and resources to advance productivity and address customer opportunities.

+ Manage needed budget requests and budget tracking.

+ Develop positive working culture built on Pfizer Values; lead and develop direct reports.

**Account Management Platform Responsibilities** :

Collaborate with Leadership to design, deliver and continuously improve Key Account Management practices (account prioritization, account planning, documentation, skills & capability evolution, execution of tactics and consistency in account measurement) including:

+ Enable the continued evolution of KAM planning processes in terms of goals, KPIs, documentation tools, and resources.

+ Advance identification and implementation of appropriate and compliant metrics and key performance indicators to measure impact of account management practices.

+ Continue to support training, development and sustainment of KAM capabilities.

+ Coordinate across the integrated account team (i.e. sales, medical) as needed to ensure a coordinated and effective approach.

**CoE Responsibilities:**

+ Build organizational understanding of Key Account Management as an advanced model.

+ Develop and implement strategies to protect and drive Key Customer performance through effective leadership of cross BU / cross functional teams to deliver key work steams to drive KAM capability development.

+ Lead CoE team to support both the development and the implementation of World Class KAM across Pfizer's globally prioritized markets and collaborate internally/externally with global KAM thought leaders to integrate KAM best practices.

+ Agency management.


Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

+ Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree an advantage.

+ Requires 15+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience with extensive external healthcare market and advanced customer/health system knowledge.

+ Previous experience (10+) in promoted leadership roles preferred with a demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results as a team and/or functional group leader in both direct and matrix leadership positions.

+ Proven leadership qualities and prior Key Account Management experience required.

+ Marketing experience preferred.

+ Strong history of achievement and performance with Headquarters, working across and effectively navigating functional departments and teams.

+ Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders (internal and external) and negotiate and implement a plan that is mutually agreed upon. Build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations.

+ Strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in identifying and addressing major strategic challenges (e.g., shifting market environment) and the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term vision for the business.

+ Ability to analyze, define and convey complex concepts and strategies in verbal and written communication to very demanding internal and external audiences.

+ History of demonstrating professional maturity to overcome ambiguity and lead others through change with both influence and direct authority.

+ Strong interpersonal skills are required, as well as, excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

+ Experience working across cultures and partnering with colleagues who represent a diverse selection of experiences and skills.

+ Ability to situationally develop talent and manage performance to deliver on business imperatives.

+ Experience managing a diverse team of Colleagues with different grades and responsibilities.

+ Ability to innovate and lead through change, even when ambiguity and challenge are present.

+ Budget management and financial acumen.
