POSITION SUMMARY
- The Phlebotomy Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of phlebotomy operations throughout all laboratory areas including the daily operation and duties of Phlebotomist. The incumbent must be capable of performing, teaching, and monitoring all functions within the laboratory including but not limited to scheduling, specimen collection, labeling, receipt, processing, delivery, and archiving. This individual has the responsibility for working and communicating with various health professionals within the organization as needed to complete tasks on a daily basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
  - Phlebotomy or Laboratory Assistant preferred
  - ASCP or equivalent preferred
- Educational Requirements
  - BA/AS in biological or chemical science preferred
  - High school diploma required
- Experience Requirements
  - 5 years of lab related experience performing phlebotomy/clerical functions in a medical setting required
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
  - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  - Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate well
  - Solid computer skills
