ADP is hiring a Lead Graphic Designer!

ADP's Small Business Services Division seeks a Lead Graphic Designer to join our Communications Team. This is a central role on a team that delivers a high volume of impactful communications to employees and clients through a variety of media and channels.

The ideal candidate is highly creative, attentive to detail, and has impeccable taste; possesses expert-level knowledge of current graphic design software and trends. Will develop a deep understanding of the needs of our internal and external audience and the overall communications landscape at ADP to lead the creative direction of the team and create exceptional designs. The successful candidate is comfortable collaborating with others and presenting ideas to colleagues at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Create original artwork in support of internal and external communications; final output includes websites, web graphics, infographics, presentations, posters/banners, videos, marketing materials, HTML emails, digital signage display images, logos, documents, flyers, social media graphics "swag";
  • Design and code emails for internal and external use, testing for functionality on multiple platforms and devices, and troubleshooting in-the-moment issues.
  • Cleverly incorporate stock images, graphics, text and elements of ADP's brand design to create unique and compelling communications that inspire attention and action;
  • Brainstorm, design and own the entire process of creating "swag" (mugs, t-shirts, etc.): developing relationships with vendors and managing the process from design concepts to negotiating prices, evaluating prototypes and arranging payment and shipping.
  • Develop and implement best practices and processes to drive a more efficient creative team.
  • Collaborate with writers on copy for websites, videos, emails, presentations and digital display messages as needed.
  • Efficiently organize and manage a large library of digital files and assets.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years applied graphic design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design or related field
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver); Premiere and AfterEffects
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
  • Expert efficiency in HTML5 language to build and test responsive email designs across devices and platforms.
  • Experience designing and building pages on internal platforms (JIVE, Slack, Teams)
  • Experience working within corporate brand guidelines and standards
  • Able to work collaboratively in a demanding, deadline-driven environment and flexible to business' needs
  • Must provide a digital portfolio of work with recent samples
  • NOTE: This position is remote/virtual for the time being, but will be based in our Florham Park office in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong conceptual thinker, ability to synthesize concepts and data and think across multiple platforms of communication.
  • Follows trends in internal communications, digital marketing, mobile and web design
  • Knowledge of typography and digital photography a plus.
  • Able to clearly execute creative direction, bring new ideas to the team, and thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with communications specialists, other graphic designers, project managers and brand teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills - comfortable mentoring junior graphic designers
  • Comfortable interacting with and presenting designs to senior executives
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas quickly and to give and receive feedback.
  • Have a sense of humor and enjoy being part of a team.
