The successful candidate will be responsible for the
implementation of AT&Ts internal Environment, Health & Safety programs
and policies in the Canada & Latin America region for the purpose of
providing employees with a safe and healthy workplace, safeguarding the
community, and protecting the environment. This position is also responsible
for addressing EH&S compliance with governmental laws and regulations. The
successful candidate must exhibit a high degree of autonomy with minimal direct
supervision, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Professional conduct and
strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) are required.
Solid organizational, time management, leadership and vendor management skills
are also essential. The successful candidate must use professional judgment to
solve issues beyond the scope of established programs, policies or regulations
and recommend corrective action where environmental or health & safety
hazards exist.

Must possess good English and Spanish verbal &
written communication skills.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Ability to coordinate activities between various departments/Business Units to
achieve EH&S related goals.

Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations in Mexico.

Strong knowledge of hazardous materials, regulated waste, air, water, and
petroleum storage tank regulatory compliance.

Experience with EH&S regulatory agencies and managing EH&S inspections.

Ability to provide EH&S strategic guidance and support functions to all
Business Units (BU)s including in region Corporate Real Estate and Human

Experience providing accident investigation and job hazard analysis.

Ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify or predict risk related to
EH&S programs at AT&T facilities.

Demonstrated leadership and vendor management experience.

Professional EH&S certification or EH&S related college degree strongly
