The Lead Solution Architect (Intelligent Automation) is a highly motivated technical role responsible for the identification, design and implementation of technologies that support and enable cognitive intelligent automation solutions. The person in this role will collaborate with architects and engineers throughout the enterprise to architect and develop intelligent automation solutions that provide the agility, reliability, and value-add required to meet business objectives. The Intelligent Automation Architect also builds strong partnerships with other enterprise technologists to socialize automation capabilities and to remain aware of opportunities for automation improvements.

*Job Responsibilities:*

* Be the subject matter expert for technologies that provide intelligent automation capabilities; stay current on evolving trends in the intelligent automation industry.

* Research, evaluate, design, and implement automation solutions utilizing advanced technologies that meet or exceed customer requirements.

* Recommend and implement technology standards and best practices, such as CI/CD, for developing and maintaining automation solutions.

* Leverage existing technologies to satisfy requirements; where necessary, evaluate and recommend new or additional technologies that are required.

* Document intelligent automation configurations for collaborative review, approval, and reference.

* Work closely with appropriate teams and vendors to provide the technical bridge that ensures impact, risk, and value are properly understood by stakeholders.

* Coordinate project teams to ensure approved solutions architecture and design are understood and followed; evaluate and make recommendations for change requests.

* Provide technical leadership and guidance for Intelligent Automation-based solutions from early phase proposals through design, code, test and implementation.

* Provide effective communication, status, and documentation to project management, stakeholders and senior leadership.

* Serve as a liaison between architecture, business customers, solution development, project managers, network infrastructure, server engineering, and support teams.

* Ability to speak the languages of both business and technology and quickly determine the right message to the right audience.

* Lead technical discussions to determine new architecture recommendations and/or changes within current solution infrastructure.

* Be proactive in building and maintaining productive relationships with other architects and engineers throughout Cox.

* Timely communication of concerns and issues that may affect any environment, project schedule and/or user acceptance of the developed solution to product manager and project manager.

* Document solutions designs in technical architecture documents and solution architecture documents.

* Understand business requirements and recommend solution

* Determine gaps between business requirements and product functionalities and define workable solutions to bridge the gaps.

* Design detailed solutions through partnering with project resources that may include solution development, process analysts, network engineering, server engineering and information security.

Qualifications: *Required:*

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or 7+ years progressive experience as a Solutions Architect

* 3 years experience designing and deploying Robotic Process Automation solutions with Blue Prism and/or UiPath (Attended & Unattended, cloud and on-prem)

* 1-2 years experience working with Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence-based solutions

* Familiar with OCR, Computer Vision and chatbot technology solutions

* Demonstrable expert knowledge of current coding best practices, including documentation, repositories, distribution, and maintenance

* Demonstrable substantial knowledge of core infrastructure concepts and technologies, including IP networks, Active Directory, enterprise storage systems, and information security

* Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to effectively and succinctly articulate complex concepts

* Applications integration, workflow design, analytics

* Strong organizational and analytical skills

* Demonstrated ability to lead efforts with innovation and self-reliance

* Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines on a consistent basis with quality products

* Ability to identify and understand issues and develop complex solutions

* Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset


* BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred

* 5 years experience of working with and designing enterprise platforms such as Oracle Middleware (i.e. PeopleSoft, WebCenter Portal, Identity Management, Enterprise Content Management, SOA, or BPM) with experience across design, installation, configuration, deployment troubleshooting, and support

* 3 to 5 years of application implementation, support, development desired

* Integration experience with Oracle DB, Active Directory, Web Services (SOAP/REST), Microsoft SQL DB

* Experience with J2EE, Java, JSP, XML, LDAP, SQL, and data integration background desired

* Experience in corporate back-office and shared services functions

* Experience in telecommunications and automotive industries

*Job Skills:*

* Has extensive experience with technologies appropriate to the position, potentially including ERP, client-server, web-based applications, and cloud- or Saas-based applications. Has relevant industry knowledge of widely-used systems and subsystems. Extensive experience working closely with and managing software vendors and IT service providers.

* Demonstrated understanding of Identity Management solutions and their impact to solutions being developed

* Must also have strong self -motivation and leadership skills. Requires little to no direction to accomplish tasks. Contributes to setting direction for projects and tasks.

* Ability to identify and understand problems and/or issues and develop solutions. Applies strong strategic thinking in designing technology solutions to solve complex business problems. Ability to innovate in generating creative ideas to solve business problems

* Proven ability to meet project deadlines. Highly adept at handling multiple tasks and/or projects concurrently

* Interest in developing knowledge around specific business areas, and how systems can be used to solve business problems in those business areas

* Adept at learning complex new applications or business functional areas, and discerning business requirements accordingly

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to present to all levels of leadership

* Expert-level understanding of the Systems Implementation Life Cycle

* Travel: Some travel for conferences or off-site training may be required.
