Cox Automotive, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, is seeking a Lead UX Designer to join our Mobile Apps team in Atlanta, GA.


In this role, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team that is tasked with creating outstanding mobile app and content experiences for the Autotrader and Kelly Blue Book brands. Working with colleagues from Product Management and Engineering, you will lead research with consumers and clients to inform the creation of flows, wireframes, and low-resolution prototypes. The Cox Automotive work environment is highly collaborative and requires excellent communication skills and a keen ability to build and foster strong partnerships through an open and transparent working style. You must have extensive experience designing for consumers on both mobile app and responsive web and influencing others in a team environment. This role advocates for user-centered design techniques and data driven decision processes.

*Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:*




* Be an active member of a cross-functional teams to analyze consumer, client, and business goals along with product requirements and translate them into high quality design solutions

* Perform formative research with both consumers and clients to understand their needs and communicate your findings to the broader organization

* Create solutions to address consumer and client needs through a process of rapid iteration of low-resolution designs including wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes

* Understand and illustrate how your solutions will exist within the Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book experiences and how users will engage within and between those experiences

* Balance user, client, and business needs to create solutions that address all three

* Partner with UI designers as they create high-resolution mocks of your designs

* Present design work to peers and business leaders to gain consensus

* Lead complex work streams independently

* Help other UX team members as they solve their design problems, and collaborate with the rest of the team on improving the way we work

* Engage in thinking across our products and services that results in high quality design solutions that benefit the user, client, and business




Qualifications: *Required Experience (minimum): *




* 7+ years of experience creating wireframes, page flows, site maps, and related design documentation for consumer-facing mobile app and responsive web experiences

* 5+ years of experience conducting UX research and using findings to inform design deliverables

* Demonstrated ability to create designs that meet user needs and achieve business results

* Knowledge of current UX design strategies and trends across web and mobile platforms

* Experience in iterative software delivery methodologies like Agile and SCRUM

* Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills

* Passion and experience working with engineering and product teams

* Independent self-starter

* Excellent leadership skills

* Attention to detail and follow-through on completion of tasks

* Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to work on concurrent projects and quickly prioritize competing tasks and responsibilities

* Proficiency with Axure preferred

* Bachelors degree in Information Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience required, Masters degree a plus
