In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St. Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. As Edward Jones Canada continues to grow its impact in Canada, we continue to strengthen our support for our branch teams in support of their work with Canadian investors. We are expanding our Practice Management capabilities.
Practice Management empowers Financial Advisors to lead their branch team in building a successful practice, by supporting and guiding them at every stage of their career. We equip Financial Advisors and their team members with the knowledge, skills, competitive insights, and tools to optimize their practice and deliver industry leading client experiences. We reward and recognize their contributions to client outcomes and our firms success. The Leader of Practice Management Consulting will:
* Lead the development and execution of the team's objectives and strategies in support of the firm's objectives
* Lead the team by providing the appropriate guidance, support, development and accountability to meet the objectives of the team
* Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert on:
* Practice strategy and diagnostics
* Branding, client attraction, acquisition, and marketing strategies
* Delivery of wealth management
* Practitioner development
* Leading the practice
* Have advanced ability to perform and lead others to gather, elicit and synthesize relevant data about the financial advisor/practice team such as their unique situation and needs (e.g., practice vision and goals, prior experience, practice structure, market insights, etc.) to co-create an appropriate business plan focused on the best strategies; recommend suitable practice management concepts across all financial advisor stages
* Demonstrates and role model strong communications and interpersonal skills along with a systems thinking approach when making decisions
* Provide oversight and guidance surrounding the firm's performance management programs
* Oversee all content, processes, measurement, and communications surrounding our practice management efforts
* Partner with various functional areas, field leaders, stakeholders, and vendors to develop, evaluate and implement strategies on the practice management needs of the firm
* Have the opportunity to serve as a liaison by representing the department on division and firmwide projects/committees and lead cross-functional project teams on initiatives medium to large in scope
* Ensure efficient operation of the department
* 8+ years of experience in wealth management with exposure to client creation, relationship management, financial planning, insurance, and industry best practices
* 3+ years of leadership experience, including leading remote teams
* Experience consulting and guiding financial advisor teams particularly in the following areas:
* Practice strategy and diagnostics
* Branding, client attraction, acquisition, and marketing strategies
* Delivery of wealth management
* Practitioner development
* Leading the practice
* Bachelors degree
* IIROC, life and health insurance licenses preferred; Financial Planning, Coaching and Change Management certification and accreditations all considered assets
* Fluent in English (written and verbal); fluency in a second language (e.g., French, Mandarin, Cantonese) considered an asset
