Your Role and Responsibilities
he mission of the Leadership Development organization is to co-create solutions with the business to enable every leader to execute against IBMs priorities and thrive in the competitive marketplace. In support of our mission, we are looking for an outgoing and customer service-oriented consultant to join our organization and work with our clients. This experienced professional will work as a strategic advisor for our clients in the Leadership and Management Development segment, designing and developing seamless end-to-end solutions for IBM leaders at all levels of the organization. Youll also play a key part in identifying opportunities for new Leadership Development offerings. A formal understanding and experience of Customer Relationship Management, Portfolio Offering, and Strategic Thinking will be essential for the selected candidate.
L&MD Consultant role is to:
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with clients, stakeholders and executive sponsors by offering solutions of impact.
  • Identify target demographics using analytics and engaging with potential clients to offer our solutions.
  • Works with feedback gained from Geo Learning, Units and Portfolio Owners to create solutions that apply to Geo/Unit/Industry business needs while maintaining Enterprise integrity and coherency.
  • Research and apply market trends in creation of new solutions.
  • Scalable behavior changes.
The role is based at the IBM Learning Center, Armonk, NY.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive level
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • System thinking, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a matrixed environment delivering results that enable partners and clients success
  • Comfort with working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelors degree in Organizational Development, Human
  • Resource Management, Psychology or another closely related
  • field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in consulting and project/program management (the ability to manage programs or projects with multiple stakeholders, deliverables, and contributors

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • M.S. in OD, Organizational Behavior, or Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Change, Human Performance Improvement
