Develop and implement site strategy for controls technicians 5S sort, shine, set in order, standardize, sustain maintenance areas Develop preventive inspections, preventive maintenance checklists, and maintenance instructions. Provide assistance for engineering/projects and independently execute small maintenance-related projects. Support site shutdown calendar High Focus Shutdown Support Maintenance Supply Chain Leaders Provide maintenance perspective support to internal and external inspections/audits. Build, understand and guard the maintenance strategy. Participate in complex troubleshooting assisting Maintenance Technicians to ensure adequate equipment performance for solid dosage production equipment. Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement in equipment maintainability and reliability. Uses Lean Six Sigma and RCM concepts to optimize work processes, adapt maintenance tools and procedures to improve equipment utilization and reliability, and minimize service quality incidents. Keeps current with latest equipment, technologies, and maintenance methods. Assists with the development and coaching of junior maintenance staff. Supports All Levels of Management in planning for equipment, maintenance resources, and correcting existing discrepancies. Evaluates, reviews, develops and administers effective preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM) within the CMMS to support optimal machine performance. Specify repair techniques for major repetitive tasks such as component replacement, develop standard specifying end product and resources needed for given tasks. Analyze equipment history to identify specific repetitive failures and effectively address identified areas. Analyze planned downtime of equipment to develop and improve PPM schedules. Regularly review downtime reports and equipment histories to identify recurring maintenance problems requiring engineering attention, therefore finding engineering solutions to the identified situation. Ensure that accurate, up to date spare parts list are available for existing equipment while specifying standardization of components used in repairs. Also ensure spare parts list are provided for all new installations, as well as review component specifications to identify compatible replacement parts. Identify training required to improve craft skill levels or repair techniques based upon data and field observations. Coordinate repairs or overhaul of equipment performed by outside contractors. Identify and develop predictive technologies and source necessary equipment necessary to carry out activities to increase equipment availability. Manage Predictive Maintenance Program to include Ultrasonic, Lubrication, and Vibration Analysis Qualifications Bachelors Degree/BTech in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on condition monitoring software/techniques Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and the tools associated with failure detection (i.e.vibration analysis, oil monitoring, thermography) as well as the software associated with them Minimum 5 years maintenance and reliability, production management, engineering or operations experience Extensive and relevant reliability management experience Continuous improvement tools.
