SUMMARY: Title and responsibilities will be determined in a progressive manner based on skill and expertise within the same job group.  Responsible for providing building equipment maintenance and repair. Will maintain environmental conditions at facility as well as performing light construction activities as required. Duties also include responsibility for the safety of the equipment, in that all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines are met. Actively supports the Companys vision and goals. Embraces and executes the Company Core Values.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Includes the following: other duties will be assigned in a progressive manner.

  • Inspect buildings and identify/report and follow through on the repair and / or solution for all maintenance issues, including electrical and plumbing.

  • Maintain facility and all of equipment to ensure it is in working condition to acceptable levels of operating accuracy, safety and cleanliness.

  • Respond to building and equipment emergencies/outages and perform quality checks.

  • Implement departmental policies and procedures, develop and recommend systems and procedures, create maintenance reports.

  • Maintain work-related records and prepare work reports as directed by leader.

  • Develop and maintain inventories of equipment, tools, and other supplies.

  • Identify and schedule work to be performed throughout the year, including scheduled shutdowns and annual inspections.

  • Maintain current files and records of building plans and specifications.

  • Communicate and facilitate projects with outside vendors/contractors (i.e. HVAC service, electrical, construction, landscape, etc.)

  • Develop and maintain a maintenance schedule for equipment. 

  • Stay abreast of new issues and trends in facilities/maintenance and attend any required or recommended training.

  • Maintain knowledge of pertinent laws and ordinances.

  • Communicate clearly, often and effectively to the maintenance team and other staff.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; practice and promote safety at all times.

  • Take an active role in all lean initiatives as it relates to maintenance.

  • Achieves positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and team member relations.

  • Coordination of the planning, budgeting and scheduling of facility modifications, including equipment.

  • Create, enhance and sustain equipment Preventative Maintenance schedules (PMs) overall equipment metrics to include down time logs.

  • Overall facility responsibility, physical building and equipment / machines within, cleaning companies and vendors that provide a maintenance service.

  • Overseeing the coordination of the building space allocation and layout, maintenance/repair of the building(s) infrastructure, security, safety and environmental compliance.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise Maintenance department staff, including hiring and training qualified employees, creating work assignments, overseeing duties, and conducting performance evaluations.


QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES: In daily work, a team member is responsible to maintain or exceed the degree of excellence requested by the internal and external customers of this department. This includes following established policies, following ISO 9001 & 14001 policies, business practices, and work instructions, using problem solving techniques to solve root causes of problems, and viewing quality as customer satisfaction. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   Experience in field / related field, and/or a combination of education and experience.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Drivers License is required.  Forklift Certification or able to pass the forklift certification process.


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge and experience of electricity, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general building maintenance (structural, plumbing and carpentry). Ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment, machinery and controls. Work includes preventative maintenance and repair. Ability to read blueprints and schematics.    Ability to manage multiple priorities.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills

TRAVEL:  Up to 5%.   This position is based out of Bonita Springs, Florida.
