As anIBM Application Architect, you directlyhelp clients transformtheir businessandsolve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Global Business Services is hiring a Senior Managing Consultant with subject matter expertise in Financial Crimes, including AML, OFAC and KYC to join our Financial Services consulting team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Navigate the complex environment of working within the largest financial services institutions in the world
  • Develop deep relationships within client organizations and work in cross-functional teams across diverse stakeholder groups, including client business and technical organizations, IBM's domestic and global delivery organizations and third-party software vendors
  • Provide subject matter expertise in banking financial crimes compliance
  • Develop requirements and re-engineer processes
  • Facilitate the evaluation, selection and implementation of supporting systems and tools
  • Exercise analytical skills and knowledge of risk related regulations
  • Lead project teams to successful project delivery

In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact directly with clients and will be required to travel up to 75%.

Candidates residing on the East Coast are preferred, but all locations will be considered.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • At least 5 years of experience working in capital markets/investment banking, retail banking, or insurance at a management consulting company, a leading bank, or insurance firm.
  • At least 5 years of experience in industry in financial crimes compliance, including, Anti-Money Laundering including, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Know Your Customer
  • Experience in managing complex client investigations for financial crimes risk and mitigation, either related to KYC or AML requirements
  • Knowledge of financial crimes technology, including transaction monitoring and screening capabilities

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Insurance at a management consulting company, a leading bank, or insurance firm
  • At least 7 years of experience in financial crimes compliance in wholesale or retail banking, including, KYC, AML and OFAC
  • Regulatory experience, including addressing consent orders and MRAs
  • Industry certifications in AML and KYC
