The Associate Services Manager will enable to mission of Associate Services by providing high quality services that support and enhance the company\u0027s efforts to create a healthy and productive workforce by: Providing guidance to managers for addressing associates mental health and workplace difficulties; limiting risk and legal exposure by ensuring compliance with state and federal laws; offering education and training to help build the competencies of our management team. Providing specialized programs and services to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of our associates.\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EMAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003C/strong\u003EReview Health Care, Disability and Worker\u0027s Comp Plans for consistency and ensure they provide appropriate access and coverage for mental health benefits and substance abuse services, and that the plans are linked to our EAP services. Will review diagnosis, treatment plan and return to work. \u003Cbr /\u003E Ensures all policies and procedures are compliant with the ADA. Provides assistance to HRM\u0027s by reviewing and analyzing requests for accommodations and determining whether associates meet the qualifications under the law. Facilitates reasonable accommodations as appropriate, Manages caseload of ADA accommodation requests and where appropriate, coordinates with workers\u0027compensation and disability vendor. Advises HR Department on proper hiring processes and exception waivers for applicants with disabilities. Develops and delivers ADA training to the field. \u003Cbr /\u003E Crisis Response- Strategizes with HR about the most effective way to respond to a critical incident. Determines when or if to provide a debriefing and format. Coordinates debriefing through the EAP to select appropriate counselor and follows-up after debriefing to discuss potential issues. \u003Cbr /\u003E Manages dedicated EAP vendor team, including development of training and metrics. Ensures that department strategies are aligned with the vendor. Works with EAP vendor to develop Service Level Agreements and holds vendors accountable for meeting performance expectations. \u003Cbr /\u003E Provides the expertise to mitigate and respond to Violence in the Workplace. Reviews and writes policies and makes decisions about how to respond to threats. \u003Cbr /\u003E Develops strategies for increasing utilization and services of the EAP. Works to coordinate services of EAP with other Benefit and Wellness programs.\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003ENATURE AND SCOPE\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003C/strong\u003ETypically reports to Director of Associate Services \u003Cbr /\u003E No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003C/strong\u003EEnvironment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPreferred Qualifications:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EHR consulting experience preferred, specifically in employment laws and disability laws.\u003Cbr /\u003EOccupational Health Nurse Certification\u003Cbr /\u003EExperience analyzing and interpreting data with the goal of improving the customer experience and problem solving\u003Cbr /\u003EExperience eliciting feedback on recommendations and fostering an environment of teamwork, customer satisfaction, communication, approachability, and empowerment.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003C/strong\u003EMust posess excellent customer service skills \u003Cbr /\u003E Must be able to handle mulitple tasks and ability to prioritize according to importance, as well as maintain good judgement in high pressure situations. \u003Cbr /\u003E Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. \u003Cbr /\u003E Must have training experience \u003Cbr /\u003E Must be willing to travel\u003C/div\u003E
