The EULA regional finance team provides financial and strategic support partnering with the Regional business leaders and country operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Italy, Mexico, as well as, the recent expansion in Africa. The region is comprised of multiple product lines (individual, group, and private pension) and distribution platforms (captive/independent agents, third party, and institutional). This team is uniquely positioned to provide financial guidance, influence and execute across a variety of strategic priorities in the region and countries.

The EULA Finance Team reports through the International CFO and is responsible for:

  • Financial management oversight to the EULA region including business drivers, capital management, and financial planning & analysis
  • Partnering with country and regional business leaders on strategic initiatives including distribution channels, new lines of business, product strategy, competitive analysis
  • Providing strategic input and advice to the country CFOs on decisions regarding capital structure, product design, profitability metrics, and talent management
  • Leading financial workstreams for M&A activity in the region 
  • Continuing to build Global Finance Community by fostering collaboration, identifying training and mobility opportunities, and sharing best practices across geographies
  • Advisor to the countries on PII / Corporate governance and effectively partner with Newark and Regional teams 

Main Responsibilities include: 

  • Analyze trends in the international businesses and produce detailed insightful analytics for senior management highlighting key changes and actionable insights
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes and develop innovative approaches to assess the health of the business
  • Evaluate new products and business initiatives from a risk and profitability perspective
  • Assist in capital management activities including development of capital frameworks, cost of capital, and analysis of business capital plans
  • M&A and strategic initiatives support, including due diligence and / or integration, including investment thesis on potential growth opportunities
  • Opportunity to influence in-country Finance teams through partnering and ability to work in multi-functional projects with opportunity to travel to the countries in the region on key projects
  • Develop detailed budget and forecast models to drive high quality decision-making and closely monitor business performance
  • Collaboration with stakeholders including: Regional leadership, Corporate Development, Actuarial, Portfolio Management, Tax, Treasurers, and other Internal PII teams


Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, data analytics, or economics required

MBA, CFA and/or CPA preferred

5-7 years of experience within the financial services industry with a focus preferably on: Financial planning & analysis /corporate development and strategy / management consulting / capital management / emerging markets / insurance and retirement industries

Strong aptitude for proactive problem solving, analytics, and process/project management

Ability to partner effectively with all levels including business unit senior management

Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment and communicate issues in a clear, succinct manner to peers and senior executives

Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills

Advanced Financial Modeling, Excel, and Power Point skills

Advanced Power BI skills a plus

Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese a significant plus

Some travel required
