The *Manager, Revenue Operations* is responsible for leading the Yield and Forecasting team within Advertising Operations. The yield team is responsible for finding new opportunities to grow revenue for both KBB.com and Autotrader.com within all inventory channels: Direct buys and all varieties of programmatic buys: Preferred, Private and Open Auction. The forecasting team is responsible for the impression forecasting and delivery analysis for KBB.com and Autotrader.com advertising products.





The Manager, Revenue Operations will oversee and lead the team to develop iterative rounds of automotive advertiser upfront - related impression forecast as well as the generation of ad hoc forecasts for new custom advertising products to enable yield management, budgeting, marketing, and sales strategies. Additionally, leading the team to manage the impression delivery analytics, analyzing, and communicating the health of the forecast, delivery and earned rates, diagnosing the drivers of delivery risks and summarizing impacts to shortfalls.





This role will oversee and lead the teams to develop best in class yield reporting and activities to ensure the highest revenue for the organization. Leading the team to identify, resolve and maximize sold ad revenue. Developing programmatic strategy and finding new ways to maximize this channel through any means.





This role is highly collaborative and will interact with many teams across the organization: Analytics, Product, Finance, Marketing and Ad Operations teams.







* Responsible for the teams, day-to-day activities for all yield and forecasting activities including production of reporting to show health of the forecast, programmatic reporting, and reporting for impression delivery. Ensure they are trained on all their job responsibilities yield management and programmatic. Setting appropriate expectations and timelines within the team and external teams.

* Drive continuous improvement of the forecasting and yield processes and create new tools and dashboards for the organization. Expanding on current process or tools used by each team to create efficiencies and provide more robust insights.

* Coach and develop team to execute with industry leading knowledge to grow revenue. Provide leadership through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks or projects.

* Collaborate with other groups to pursue continuous improvement of the forecasting and delivery process and work closely with other leaders to drive the business to success in these areas of forecast and delivery.

* Coach and lead the team to manage the diagnosis of trends and drivers of delivery variances, alert relevant groups to these drivers, and collaborate to address key challenges and opportunities.

* Provide or manage the creation of executive summaries of incremental forecast changes and present them when needed to any level of the organization.

* Manage the Inventory Management vendor (Yield Analytics) to upload appropriate data into tool for adjustments that are either seasonal or manual. Additionally, push the vendor when new tools or reporting needed.

* Manage the programmatic reporting vendor (Adomik) to ensure we have dashboards that our teams and sales teams use.

* Oversee determining campaign implementation/activation, bidding strategies and revenue reporting in partnership with the Product organization.

* Partner closely with Value Strategy to make recommendations for direct pricing based on what we are seeing in Programmatic Non-guaranteed and Direct Sales.

* Lead the creation of the OEM Delivery Report and how it will be used

* Provide the creation of executive read outs of OEM Delivery Report

* Ability to build and train others on new tools as needed for teams across the organization.

* Responsible for developing and maintaining team capacity plan, staffing and budget recommendations, and cross-team communication related to throughput and capacity.

* Continually keep up to date with developments and best practices in the Digital Analytics field (e.g., tools, techniques, KPIs, etc.), and the latest trends in the advertising and automotive industries to ensure that insights and narratives are evaluated in the proper context.

* Other duties as needed or required.


Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree (B. A.) and 7 years analytical/forecasting experience OR an equivalent combination of education and work- related experience

* Experience with digital analytics tools and business intelligence systems (e.g. Adobe Analytics / Omniture, Google Analytics, Moat, DFP, MicroStrategy, Tableau). Knowledge of programmatic space and best practices for sell side activities.

* Automotive experience a plus

* 3 years experience working in a remote environment preferred

* 1 year of experience in a management or lead role

* Senior level presentation building and delivery skills. Must be comfortable articulating analytical concepts in a concise manner to internal and external groups, including an executive audience

* Demonstrated experience managing teams, projects, and leading cross functional teams.

* Experience providing training to internal teams

* Must have experience working with data tables, writing SQL queries and have a general understanding of data warehousing

* Advanced Excel skills required, including custom formula development, functions, pivot tables, and visualization techniques

* Advanced analytical skills, including an understanding of cause and effect and basic statistical methods available to enhance findings

* Must be able to understand, analyze data, and synthesize large volumes of data into a coherent narrative or story to answer non-standard/complex questions

* Proven accomplishments of programmatic strategies that drive revenue to maximize impression sell thru.

* Excellent communication skills

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven atmosphere

* Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

* Analytical, problem solver, collaborative, strategic, results oriented, self-starter

* Experience with YieldEx/YieldEdge a plus

* Experience with All SSPs a plus

* Experience in online advertising including understanding of the advertising technology landscape
