Manufacturing Senior Supervisor
Responsibilities Responsible for the daily production operations of the department approximately 50 Front line employees across 3 shifts - while maintaining safety, efficiency, and ensuring all applicable PepsiCo, Federal, State, and Local regulations and standards are met Continually evaluate operational capabilities, skills, and resources to ensure performance objectives are met Lead the Arlington Manufacturing Team by developing and implementing strategies which will improve customer satisfaction and deliver business results while developing a strong organizational capability Coordination with all functional Leadership Team members to ensure completion of plant objectives Provide Operational and Technical guidance/knowledge in the development of Capital Plan to ensure continuous improvement Drive the effectiveness of the Manufacturing process and implement process improvements where necessary while always maintaining robust control design and execution. Ensure control awareness by all participants in the process through quarterly GCS process walkthroughs Ensure pipeline of talent is available in order to fill key leadership roles in manufacturing operations Prepare for backfill capability in the event of vacancies of key Leadership Team positions Ensure all Manufacturing GMP and Plant Food Safety Policies are followed Follow all applicable facility health, safety, and environmental requirements (e.g. PPE policy) and procedures for reporting incidents and/or injuries per the PepsiCo Employee Handbook, including having the authority to immediately address safety risks Assist in continuous improvement of productivity, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, GEHSMS programs and procedures though active participation in the near miss/good catch program Make employment decisions on hiring, promotion, transfers, training and development, and disciplinary action; monitor performance by completing new hire and periodic accountability conversations Provide communication on departmental expectations, motivates team members, and identifies opportunity for improvements. Implements and monitors frontline training program to ensure best in class manufacturing. Continuously audits production and quality procedures against training program Responsible for evaluating production data including efficiency, yield, changeover time, etc. and takes appropriate action as necessary Audit and submit payroll accurately and timely as required Qualifications Requires Bachelors Degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Working knowledge of Capital Investments, Engineering and Project Management Strong negotiation, communication, and influence skills Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish a vision, establish a strategic plan, manage change, and develop personnel High level of analytical/financial skills with demonstrated ability to use data to identify/prioritize improvement opportunities History of ability to manage multiple projects with various priorities simultaneously with success Covid-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment dependent on role and location.
