Category: Marketing, Design and Communications

About The Role:

As media strategist, you will be responsible for producing content and communications that support ARC's business objectives and elevate its brand in the marketplace. You will examine travel industry trends and global dynamics to tell ARC's stories in a timely, relevant way that resonates with key audiences. You should be an exceptional storyteller, creating compelling content that educates and challenges readers while showcasing ARC's industry leadership and the value of ARC's distribution solutions, technology and data. To support an integrated communication approach, you will recommend the optimal methods for communicating ARC's stories, messages and content through a variety of B2B and B2C channels — including ARC's own content platforms. You will collaborate with the director of corporate communications to develop and nurture productive relationships with media representatives and other industry influencers that impact ARC's public profile. Additionally, you will advise internal stakeholders on communications strategies, providing direction on the best approach for desired outcomes.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Develop plans, content and communications surrounding ARC's thought leadership, technology advancements and industry events. Create content for targeted external audiences using diverse methods (e.g., social media, email, white papers, newsletters, research reports and, when appropriate, press releases). Repurpose content for a variety of platforms
  • Ensure all external communications are of the highest quality and properly coordinated, advising stakeholders on timing and frequency of communications to optimize effectiveness. Edit a variety of content to apply brand voice, AP style and house style. Coach and consult with ARC experts to prepare for speaking engagements and other industry events. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging for all content and communications
  • Think holistically about ARC's stories in the broader context of the industry. Target, establish, and maintain trusted relationships with key industry partners and media contacts to keep ARC "top of mind." Stay up-to-date on travel industry and global news to identify creative ways to share ARC's strategic messages
  • Track appropriate metrics to measure messaging impact. Analyze content effectiveness, reach and results, using data to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with the director of corporate communications and the marketing intelligence analyst to report results to internal stakeholders
  • Identify national, local, business and trade media opportunities. In conjunction with the director of corporate communications, develop targeted pitches for a variety of media, particularly in the context of the air travel industry, technology and data
  • Work with the director of corporate communications to edit all pitches, press releases, media advisories, briefing books and other media-related content. This role will also be responsible for the production of a daily (M-F) news brief to all internal employees educating them on the latest industry stories that may impact ARC
  • Collaborate with the manager, content strategy and the marketing programs specialist in the ideation, creation and execution of integrated campaigns for key initiatives. Help build communications plans that span owned and earned media. When appropriate, create and/or update ARC messaging to ensure its timeliness and relevance to an evolving marketplace

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in a clear, compelling way
  • Strong knowledge of grammar and AP style, and an ability to adapt writing to align with brand voice
  • Knowledge of marketing and communications best practices
  • Hands-on experience in public relations preferred

What We Can Offer You:

  • Joining ARC means joining a team that is motivated, diverse, creative, collaborative and solutions-oriented. We think big, embrace challenges, and explore new ideas to lead the way for the travel industry
  • Our employees value the hands-on learning and professional development opportunities that allow them to expand their skills and grow their career in new, dynamic ways
  • We offer a highly competitive, comprehensive benefits package so you can worry less and focus on what truly matters
  • By joining ARC, you will partner with top minds in the industry as we use data and technology to innovate how the world travels
