POSITION SUMMARY
- Administers medications under the direction of an RN or LPN. Knowledge of medications and their procedures to ensure safe administration. Requires numerical ability and clerical perception. Follows the 5 rights of medication administration to ensure accurate and timely administration of medications.
- May be asked to work as CNA to assist when needed. Employee will be expected to float to any unit to fulfill the needs of the facility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
  - Current North Dakota MedAide II or MedAide III certification
  - Current North Dakota CNA certification
  - CPR certified
- Educational Requirements
  - High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience Requirements
  - 1-2 years CNA experience preferred, but not required
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
  - Must be organized
  - Good communication skills
